Excellent fatrat clone with less noise
A lot of different tone just like the fatrat. I had bought a fatrat from guitar center, liked its tone and versatility but found it's pretty noisy. I returned it. But I realized I still need a distortion pedal like that. So I decided to try the joyo. It surprised me with its low noise level. I couldn't believe it's less noisy than the real fatrat I had. Maybe I had a defective one? The tone of the splinter is very close to the real fatrat. Only problem is its distortion and filter control is not as refined as the real one. But for the huge price difference, I don't want to be too critical. And most importantly, it gives me the exact tone I want.

It's a RAT.
I have had many Pro Co Rat pedals and they all sound close to the same with some variations in parts tolerances. The Splinter is as close to the Fat Rat and close to the JHS Pack Rat as you can get..I run a Way Huge Red Llama or some times a BJfe Honey Bee in front of it both at 9:00 gain and a Boss EQ in the end of the chain to dial in some sweet tone on the LP Custom..I find this combinations sounds great on any Rat or clone Rat. The Rat is the ultimate desert Island pedal..The Splinter is dead quiet with humbuckers and built solid..

Allot of tones and a great replica
Really pleased with the build quality and versatility. You can dial in some great orange tones from clean to raging DOOM!

Good overdrive
This is a review of the overdrive; it seems all their pedals are lumped together in the reviews.I'm one of the millions who took up the guitar when The Beatles came to America. So I've been playing for many, many years, and have accumulated lots of "stomp boxes."This one is well made and sturdy. The sound is excellent. If you want an overdrive pedal, give this one a try. It has excellent adjustments. You won't be disappointed.

Chopper Z = Apex Preamp/Peavey Invective
This is Joyo's take on the Horizon Devices Apex Preamp. I personally think the Apex Preamp sounds like a channel from the Peavey Invective and the Chopper Z does so as well but better. The Chopper Z acts as both a distortion and a preamp and can be changed by a nob. This is nice as you don't have to do any EQ tweaks when going between the two unlike the Apex. The gate is very handy and the tone covers a lot of territory in terms of high gain. Its a little bass heavy when everything is at noon but if you cut that bass down and bump the treble a bit, you can get some very nice sounds. I have used this with 6 string guitars in standard tuning all the way to 8 strings with dropped tunings and it sounds good with whatever I throw at it. My only con is the cab sim but for what you get it's a amazing pedal. This is a great pedal for the value and wish something like this was around when I started playing.

Amp Sim
This pedal is a steal From what i understand, it is an Orange amp simulator. It is not a distortion pedal/ overdrive pedal, but can distort and overdrive just like an amp. If you use a Fender, Mesa or Ampeg amp and need an orange amp sound, this will totally change your current amp sound. Great mids to highs to cut through the mix for pogo punk basslines and more. Just get it, it is very clear sounding. I have the California sound pedal also and I like this Oxford(orange amp) better because it is punchier and more clear of a tone.

Joyo splinter, junk
I purchased a joyo splinter and at 6 months it stopped working smells burnt, light won't come on, no sound and can't get joyo to warranty it they tell me I have to go to one of there distribution centers but won't give me a number or adress. This will be my last and only joyo purchase and I would avoid these cheap joyo pedals and just buy pedals from reputable companies.

Amazing clean tones on this thing!
I bought one before it was available on Amazon. I did not expect it to sound like an Orange amp because I have never played through an Orange amp. It does have some great overdrive tones but I use it to color clean tones by turning Drive and Voice down and Level way up. Personal preference, of course, but I was not expecting it to sound so good. It is rather bright at low gain but that can be EQ'd out. Of the Joyo American, British and AC Tones pedals, the Oxford has my favorite clean tone. Again, just personal preference.

Saludos

Fab modern metal pedal
Great pedal for that modern metal sound with a very responsive EQ, roll down the mids for that great scooped sound. Also it had a great toggle switch for a low and high response, surprisingly quite pedal don’t know if it has a build in noise gate. Great pedal at a great price can’t go wrong.
