Essential reading for educators new to AI
Having spent some time reading and digesting this excellent book, I am finding that I regularly refer back to it when having conversations with colleagues who want to know more about how AI is going to impact upon their jobs. The book is written in an accessible and easy to understand format and the reader is left feeling that the authors really want to help educators to get the most out of these transformative tools. As someone who has worked in education technology for twenty years I struggle to think of a book that has has a more profound impact on my understanding of a subject. I would recommend the book to anyone who wants to equip themselves and their colleagues to use AI in their roles in education. It will pay for itself many times over with the time that you will save having read it.

A gem of a book : topical, timely, erudite and practical
AI, ChatGPT (other platforms are available) have tended to either dazzle or dim the hopes and aspirations of the beholder. I've heard all the following: It will save time, it will ruin education; students will cheat, ...educators will recover time to actually develop their students as a consequence of time recovered from admin tasks.I am an advocate of AI in education settings. I believe in its added value to learning. I have heard it said that AI will ruin education. I don't believe so. I do believe that someone who uses AI and or ChatGPT inappropriately, or in an uninformed way will actually spoil AI for education. The AI Classroom is a guide. It's both explanatory and enhanced by practical application. It's historical, it's futurist in its orientation. It offers practical wisdom alongside working templates to both encourage the AI/ChatGPT novice and to support early steps into the use of e.g., ChatGPT and or Bard.I particularly appreciated the inclusion of emotional intelligence (EI) in the use of AI as a foundation for its many applications. The relationship between emotions, emotional intelligence and AI is a discussion in itself, so it was encouraging to see and read this.Additionally, I enjoyed the emphasis given to the inclusion of AI models as a means of raising AI literacy, criticality around outputs and bias and the development of robust ways of working with AI from a policy perspective.A key facet of the content is around how the user of e.g., ChatGPT, or Bard can get the best out of the AI platform being used. The quality of outputs is significantly good, or less so relative to the prompts adopted by each user. The book (manual) offers a range of prompts that can be used in a plethora of contexts. This was a worthwhile purchase. I know I will see a tangible ROI.

This book is the AI bible for educators!
It must be incredibly difficult to write a book about a technology that is constantly and rapidly evolving. AI is moving through the world at an incredible speed and to capture the impact that Chat GTP and other AI software is having and potentially still could have on educators is quite the achievement. Everything you need to know right now is in this amazing book. The authors share their expertise on everything from inputting high quality prompts to detailing an expansive list of AI tools that teachers can use to do anything from using AI to support with planning and assessment to inspiring their pupils by bringing historical figures to life. With the rate AI is moving, I'm confident we will see further editions of this book. For now, it has everything you need to know and more support is available from the authors on social media. If you're on Facebook, join the AI Classroom page for more ideas and support.

Print too large
The content of the book is quite good, but the print was way too large which really distracted me while reading. I bought it when it first came out, so hopefully this has been edited better now. I also got the kindle version, hoping that I could change it to a normal size, but it only came as a pdf format which did not allow me to change the size or font and made it difficult to zoom into images.

The Ultimate Guide to the AI universe
I couldn't wait to get my hands on a copy of this and I wasn't disappointed. Not only is this a well considered handbook, it's also an ethical support for those delving into AI for the first time. The shared thoughts and spotlights from the wider education audience punctuate the step by step guide and the later sections clearly showcase a great range of options and use cases. The best thing is you get an oven-ready approach to prompting and editing, reflecting and even draft ethical policies.A must read for all teachers in this day and age. AI is here, The Ai Classroom holds your hand as you go...
