Everything I Need to Know About Christmas I Learned From a Little Golden Book

Excellent book. Great illustrations, good text, great ending-no spoilers here. It'll help remind you not to get frazzled during the Christmas season. And, as with Everything I Need to Know I Learned From a Little Golden Book, they are exactly right. This was purchased as a gift. I have mine in the Kindle edition, and I can recommend that too. This is very nicely done, and is thicker than a LGB, and sturdier. It will last for many Christmas seasons, and can be passed down in the family. I have subsequently purchased another one to give as a gift at Christmas.

Fun book

Ohmygosh, can hardly wait to give this book to my 5 siblings for Christmas. The instant it arrived, I had to open the book, page by page, just drinking in the lush pictures and taking my heart for a walk down memory lane! Nice touch that at the bottom of each page, it references the Little Golden Book the picture was originally taken from. May I also say how poignant it was that the book ended with the real meaning of Christmas - the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Very politically incorrect in today's broken society... Made me long for 1959.

I think those of us who grew up with Golden Books will love this trip down memory lane. I don't still have my copies of the books that this one book highlights, but as I turned the pages, I remembered loving to learn to read with Golden Books. I'll be buying copies of this book next year for my siblings. Thank you, thank you!

I was a big fan of Ms. Muldrow's original book, but I think I may prefer this edition for its great focus on that wonderful holiday known as Christmas. The ins and outs, ups and downs, of the season are briskly and whimsically discussed with classic Little Golden Book illustrations to make all the right points. Rather than the simple list feature, this is a logical lead-up to Muldrow's ultimate message about the meaning and magic of the holiday season. Beautiful little book for Christmas.

the books are gifts for my 1950 & 1960's children. It is perfect. the Having the names of the books and the years is fabulous! They will make great gifts. I was delighted with the order.

This is so enchanting. The illustrations are captivating, some from just after World War II evoking late 19th century celebrations in rural America, perhaps the heritage soldiers fought to preserve. There are more modern depictions of Yuletide in bustling cities, and fanciful animal characters. I love all the outdoor scenes filled with snow, as well as the detail on each Christmas tree. A fine book to read for a respite from holiday doings.

Bought this as a "Christmas Card" for my sister who lives in another state and she loved it. It brought back memories of our childhood. She is passing it on to her daughter, because the life reminders included in this beautifully illustrated book (e.g. take time to enjoy the little things, spend time with friends and family, remember what is really important, etc.) will also be of value to my niece, a working mother of three.

These books are wonderful adult gifts !! Gave 2 with a grad gift and she loved loved loved them. Including this with her Christmas gift !!

Lovely book

I just adore this book. It is as if all the Christmas hopes and dreams I ever had have come to life in this wonderful creation. This book is an absolute summary of what we all hope for in our Christmas hearts. I absolutely recommend it to anyone who longs for a Christmas that never really was, but that you long for anyway. Stunning.
