Easy, Professional Trimming for your dog
Received my Scaredy Cut Scissors quickly (and with free trimming scissors! π) Quality of scissors apparent in weight and design. My Patterdale/Lakeland Terrier has always been a 'challenge' to trim π Not keen on electric trimmers and using standard trimming scissors was difficult to get an even cut. The variety of comb guides supplied were easy to change and give a range of length of cut. Having made initial first cuts, final smoothing trim was extremely easy to achieve, and the results were wonderful! Towsers coat is now shorter and smoother than it has been for a long time, and he's much more comfortable in the Summer heat π The cost of the scissors has easily been out-weighed against what it would have cost at a professional groomers (IF he would of co-operated!) There is little noise as the scissors cut, and I feel more confident that I am able to use scissors near him safely. For a first attempt at trimming Towser I am very impressed with the ease of use and professional finish I can achieve. I would highly recommend this product for anyone who is worried about trying to trim their dogs coat, and although he is not a large dog (and with a little more practice) I'm sure I will get quicker π After many months of searching to find a solution to how to trim Towser, I now have an easy, safe way to achieve tidy results! Thank you Scaredy Cuts! πππ

Good, but slow for fine fur
Got these for our long haired birman cat. They work reasonably, but his fur is very fine and a lot of it slips out of the blades with each snip, so it would take far too long to do the whole cat with these. In the end I got these clippers Wahl Multi Cut Mains Dog Clipper Set & Instructional DVD Black which are quiet and do a really quick job of it. I still use these to tidy up around his chin and feet a little.I can see that they would be really good for a stiffer fur, or for animals that won't tolerate any noise at all.

What an excellent idea.
Excellent. The only criticism is they need to be sharper. But I got over that I took them to be sharpened. Ideal for my Wired Haired Fox Terrier who hated the noise of the electric clippers. And was stressing him and the groomer out. I donβt know who ended up the worse from the experience.Through the WHF terrier groups its a real debate if our terriers should be hand stripped or clipped. As owners have experienced skin irritations whilst their dogs have been stripped. So this is a great alternative as our dog hates the noise of the clippers. They are easy to use. A fabulous idea and I can honestly say he didnβt end up looking like the sheep dog on the Spec Saver advert. Now If you are based anywhere else other than the UK. You will need to YouTube it.

Blades great. Grips not so.
All right, so it is a great idea. However, I am trying to cut dog fur. My dog has softish fur behind her ears, and it gets very tatty very quickly. Her tum is always coated in manure, as she is a cattle dog. So, there I was, sawing away on the tats, the dog thought I must be trying to amputate something. I would imagine that hair would be easier to work with. I will have to try it on the kids.I found the holes for the fingers woefully too small. Yes, I have larger hands than most men, but my lady fingers kept getting stuck. I then took the rubber guards out. Then my fingers slipped, hurt, and got stuck behind the second knuckle. Panic moment there! The butter saved the day. The dog took off.To be fair, I did get the ear tats without the dog noticing. She was certain they were part of her ear. Only the promise of a pig ear kept her on the porch. I think the product could be improved with a more ergonomic grip and wider holes. The blades were great.

Hard work
Hard to use, and expensive for a plastic comb and a pair of scissors.

Better in theory
Great idea if they were better made. They cut very well and surprisingly even. I was really happy until the screw came out and the fell apart after about 10 minutes of using them. I reattached everything and kept using the and tightened screw as I went. The finger holes are small, I have small hands so didn't put me off. When I finished the cut they had took the skin off my fingers. Looks like I'm sticking to the groomers!

A Must product for grooming your pet - use it with confidence
This is the second product which I have purchased in this range. I have a puppy Bichon Frise (white hair and non-shedding) which means that careful daily grooming is essential for the health and well-being of our dear puppy. The scissors are of exceptionally high quality and the product comes with instructions which are easy to understand and follow. My puppy is at ease when I am using the scissors and the safety feature of the rounded tip which is highlighted in the image ensures a safe procedure. The quality of the product is exceptionally high and I am able to state this because I took the time to compare grooming products in retail outlets which failed my personal customer requirements.I highly recommend the 'Scaredy Cut Silent Clipper Home Pet Grooming' product.

Brilliant Product
I was getting fed up of paying the groomers Β£30 every 4-5 weeks to cut my mini schnauzer's hair and when I tried it myself I kept giving him nicks. I spotted the Scaredy cut kit via news feed on facebook and decided to check out their website. After watching the video on their page, what they were and how to use them, I decided to give them a go. I'm so glad I did, these are great and will save me a fortune as I can do it myself without the need to visit a groomers. I started of well cutting my dog's hair and then the scissors went blunt, no problem, contacted seller and they sent me out a new pair straight away with an apology. When they arrived I finished of his hair and it looks better than when he comes out of the groomers. Even our vet asked who cuts his hair as it was a nice cut. My dog sits calmly while I'm doing his hair and seems to like it. I would highly recommend to anyone, they are a godsend.
