Looks great, a piece of junk!
My wife Laura bought this watch for me.I liked the way the styling of this watch and I thought it was priced low for a Swiss watch. The first watch that I received did not work. Laura exchanged it for another.After owning the second watch for eleven days, I looked at the face noticing that the crystal was cracked completely across. As the watch had not encountered any blows, the problem is a manufacture issue. I saw another review on Amazon for a Golana Men's Swiss Aero Pro 200 Quartz Chronograph Watch #AE200-2 that had the same problem. I am extremely disappointed as the more I wore the watch, the more I liked the style. Now, I have to find something else as I will not buy another Golana again. I have to question whether this is really a Swiss watch based on the quality I have seen.Amazon handled this problem well as the first watch was exchanged and the second was returned for a refund.

Pretty yes, but horrible service
I bought the watch on looks alone, and like the reviewer before me I had never heard of Golana before. The ~$200 that the watch retails for here on Amazon are the most that I ever spent on a watch before, so I am certainly no watch connoisseur. However, the bold look, the specs, and the apparent large markdown on the original retail price convinced me to gave this watch a try to replace my beloved Seiko that was damaged in a bad accident. For the short time (3 months) that I had this watch and it was working I was very pleased with the fit and the look of the watch (which is the only reason why I am giving the watch 2 stars and not less). However, 2 weeks ago suddenly and to me inexplicably (there was no drop or hard bump) a big crack developed in the crystal glass. Obviously, this was disappointing and probably would have been enough in itself to make me cautious about buying another Golana watch in the future. However, I also think that freak "accidents" like this can occur and I figured for the price of the watch it was well worth to explore whether the crystal could be replaced. The watch had not been exposed to water in the meantime and the timekeeping functions were unaffected. Not surprisingly, the crystal is not covered under Golana's international warranty (I think this is normal and to be expected with most watch warranties that do not cover wear and tear). Nevertheless, I still wanted to explore whether such a repair was possible and how much it would cost me. In the warranty booklet there is only one Golana Service Center listed for all of North America and it does not list a phone number or webpage to contact them before sending in a watch. I managed to figure out the company behind the "Service Center" and sent several e-mails to various accounts listed on their webpage, inquiring about the possibility of a repair. I never received a reply. I finally contacted Golana through their website directly and complained about their American representatives, but similarly have not receive any reply within a week. So the bottom line is that while the watch is pretty, the company's service is nonexistent.

Great watch!
I had never heard of "Golana watches" before and this watch grabbed my attention. I was a bit skeptical of the fit and finish due to not having ever seen this watch in person. You can look at images but there is nothing like trying it on getting a feel for it once on your wrist. After doing some research and looked at their website I bought it and liked it when I first got it out of the box.Overall I'm very satisfied and it looks great. The dial is big and numbers are easy to read. But keep in mind that this is not an XL watch, it's big enough to make a bold statement and be noticed; and not an oversize watch. Surprisingly, I have not had any of the problems like the others who have left a review on Amazon. So as soon as I got it. I put it on my wrist to make sure everything works and experience any of the problems like the others. It's been almost 3 months and it has been a great watch without any problems at all.So far it has been very precise, which is what you would expect from a Swiss made watch. Played with the chrono once and they work as they should, however I don't expect to use this ever again.Overall I give this watch 5 stars due to the built quality, looks and value. I've gotten several compliments from friends and family and they all liked it.

Pleasantly surprised
I must admit that I had never heard of "Golana watches" prior to stumbling upon this watch. Then again I'm not a watch connoisseur. I was a bit skeptical of the fit and finish due to not having ever seen this watch in person. You can look at images all day long but there is nothing like trying it on getting a feel for it once on your wrist.Overall I'm very satisfied. It looks way more expensive than it actually is, the dial is big and numbers are easy to read. But keep in mind that this is not an XL watch, it's big enough to make a bold statement and be noticed; and not an oversize watch that would tempt a known rapper to hang it from their neck.So far it has been very precise, which is what you would expect from a Swiss made watch. Played with the chrono once and I can attest that it works, however I don't expect to use this ever again. If you need chrono buy a digital watch.Overall I give this watch 5 stars due to the built quality, looks and value. I've gotten several compliments from complete strangers which is something I never get when I wear my Tag.

Golana Watch Review Excellent
Excellent watch!I spent a lot of time comparing watches within this price range. I was after a Swiss made watch with an elegant style. Despite a few negative reviews from previous Golana customers I decided to try one for myself.This is an awesome watch. It looks fantastic (many people comment on it). It keeps time perfectly. It feels very comfortable to wear. It is Swiss made (which means it feels well crafted and strong), and best of all it is incredibly well priced!This watch is a winner! I want to collect their other watches too... just got to save some dollars.Highly recommended.
