It's also great to see the graphics in a larger format. I am really happy that I got it. I don't have a lot of space so wound up putting it in a large clear plastic bag under my bed for storage. So, bonus points: I can honestly say I have monsters under my bed.

HUGE. Pricey. Totally Worth It.
I hesitated, because (as other reviewers have noted) this is a VERY BIG book. You are probably going to have a hard time fitting it on your bookcase. You could practically make it its own book shelf. But I am SO glad I got it. It's great to read the stories in chronological order of events, and now I understand the sequence better than I did. It's also great to see the graphics in a larger format. I am really happy that I got it. I don't have a lot of space so wound up putting it in a large clear plastic bag under my bed for storage. This sucker is 14 lbs but it feels like 30 - it's truly huge....
Take it to a table. Lay it flat, and sit down and read it. Cause you're not going to read it lying down in bed without crushing your sternum. You can read for hours and still have more than 1000 pages of Hellboy left to read. C'mon, how great is that? It's like having a virtually infinite amount of Hellboy. Plus you can show all your friends this outrageously enormous book and be cooler than they are. That's definitely a plus. Definitely one of the largest books of any kind I've ever seen, and the quality is top-top notch. Pages are fantastic paper, and print is colorful and perfect. And you can read and read and read it and not be bored for more than a week. The sheer insanity of it is just incredibly compelling. Buy two and use the other one as a ship anchor. Why not?

Absolutely fantastic. This chonky book is, indeed, Monster-Sized. Not only is it a fun read, but it's also a great home defense item.

Great book! I loved the art in it. Quite a hefty thing, but not all that bad if you set it down instead of holding it to read.

Amazing 10/10 - but one OBVIOUS thing to understand
This edition of the book is amazing. The art is bright, big and vibrant. If you want to collect the hellboy graphic novels/comics without mucking around finding them all then this is it. The frames of the art are huge - when I saw huge I mean HUGE. Concerns about spine strength were laid to rest when I held the book as it feels both flexible and strong at the same time. The one obvious thing to be warned is that this book is heavy. It’s bulky and sometimes hard to read depending on how you’re sitting/lying down. It is called the Monster Sized edition so this should all be expected. While the material is great - this book serves as a massive statement piece in any collection. Also, for some reason Amazon is selling it for significantly less than the original retail price (roughly 194.99 CAD) Please, if you want to read the Hellboy series…this is it. To my understand it’s not the entire series but the essential material. I’m going to take my time reading it because it’s just such a spectacle to hold and read. Thank you Mike Mignola and to the printing company. It really is something and I’m glad I went with this edition. The library editions also look really great - just more expensive and felt this version was befitting of the source material. Happy Reading!

Die Hellboy Bibel
Der Name ist hier Programm. Ein Buch so gewaltig und schwer, das es abgelegt werden muss. Inhalt sind die Hellboy Omnibi 1 bis 4, allerdings ohne sketchbooks. Dafür ist das Format eine grafische Freude und das Buch gut gebunden. Der Preis ist für über 1500 Seiten in Farbe und Großformat auch ok. Definitiv etwas für Hellboy Fans 😃

The 'Monster Sized' label is appropriate, this is one big, heavy tome! I was super impressed with the extra cardboard packaging around it, ensuring that it turned up in mint condition - No bent corners, creases or damage from it's own weight. Mignolas work on Hellboy is a 1500 page masterpiece that positively shines in this glorious format - I love the red bookmark ribbon too, nice touch! A great collection that should be on every comic fans 'must read' list.

This omnibus is a must own. It doesnt collect the short stories however.
