Works well, powerful
I bought this to blend squash in soups. I've used it a few times and it works very well. Clean up is simple, rinse it in the sink, then 'stir' some warm soapy water, rinse, dry. The plastic guard clips on easily and protects the pan surface. It came with some accessories; the seem nice, but I haven't really used them. One thing, this unit is NOT CORDLESS. I didn't notice that when I purchased it, so was surprised. The cord isn't a big problem, but if you do not have handy outlets, perhaps you'll want a CORDLESS version. KitchenAid is a good brand, so I expect long life.

Durable and gentle!
This KitchenAid hand blender is a workhorse! It's powerful enough to blend soups and smoothies with ease, but also gentle enough for purees. The variable speed control gives you tons of flexibility, and the ergonomic design makes it comfortable to use even for longer blending sessions. The charcoal grey color is sleek and modern, and it feels really sturdy and well-made. I'm so glad I finally upgraded to this – it's made cooking so much easier and faster.

Powerful, ease of control.
Very powerful, but you can run it at a low speed so you don’t overdo it. Works very well great brand great mixer. You can start it out very slow or mix things violently high-quality feels like a professional tool in the hand. Very highly recommended. Hope this helps someone

Immersion Blender
Can't believe it took me this long to switch over from my cheapo Walmart single serve blender. This thing work wonderfully! Makes great smoothies for us.

Sturdy, efficient and quiet
This is a great (mandatory?) gadget to have in the kitchen. It’s super efficient for blending soups, smoothies, and sauces. Plus it’s really quiet (at least compared to some other hand blenders I owned/tested), so you don’t feel like you’re waking up the whole house every time you use it. It’s easy to handle and feels solid. The blender guard is actually super useful to protect your pans and pots if you want to blend directly in them. Price point is good to for the quality. Definitely recommended.

KitchenAid Immersion blender that is quiet and has good attachments.
The media could not be loaded. I just purchased this KitchenAid Variable Speed Corded Hand Blender KHBV53 in matte black. I use this 1-2 times a week. I ordered this immersion blender because my old Cuisinart blender(s) just stopped working. I have had two of those that have broken over time. They both eventually shorted out and they began to smoke. Time to move on!I decided to try the KitchenAid model because of the excellent reviews and because there is only one button to push to blend. I also like the rubberized pan guard because I usually use this immersion blender to make creamy soups, and the enamel coated surfaces of my high-end pots could get scratched by exposed spinning metal blade. I like how easy it is to attach the blender to the motor and how easy it is to attach the pan guard. The unit goes together and comes apart quickly. What really surprised me is how quiet this blender is compared to the Cuisinart model. I think they are comparable in weight and size.Another cool feature is the measuring cup with lid. This makes it very easy to make smoothies and salad dressings, and to store them. The lid fits snuggly and makes the measuring cup useful. This was a well thought out package. The item is a reasonable cost for the item.Positives:• Light weight immersion blender• Selection of colors• Pan guard, easy to use• Variable speed• Blending jar/measuring cup with lid• Quiet• Easy to cleanNegatives:• NoneThis is my honest review of this item. I hope it was Helpful in making your purchasing decision. Thank you for reading it.5 stars

Better is better
This stick blender set is such good quality, I’m so glad I finally invested a truly good one, it’s very sturdy and well worth the extra $ compared to the the off brand ones you see on Amazon. I was actually replacing a cheap one which had broken quickly and this one is 1000% better. The “on” button is also responsive, so the harder you squeeze, the faster it goes. I really like this feature since it makes it super easy to adjust the speed in the moment depending on what you are doing.
