I don't know why other people had issues with its insulation properties, but this is the absolute best insulated container I have used. It's very well-designed in terms of its effectiveness for its size, and keeps my soup warm for an incredibly long time. I recently forgot to have my soup for lunch, and realized much later as I was unpacking my work bag. I opened the container, and the soup was almost too hot to drink. This was about 14 hours after I had filled it, and I hadn't primed it with hot water before hand. It's awesome. It also comes with a nice utensil (not really a spork per se but a double-ended fork and spoon combo) which is long enough to easily reach the bottom of the 1000ml version I have. And, it comes with a great brush for cleaning. It's a great value IMO, and I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

I do something similar to roadside for the local fire department. On the evening shift. Takeout is to expensive more then one or two days a week. Which means I live out of a backpack while at work. A lot of the (not really sure what to call them) bento boxes are an awkward shape to spend a night being tossed around in a backpack and or leak. There are canisters but they tend to be very small or giant.This one is a little bigger then a hydroflask of similar capacity. It holds just above a quart and short enough to easily get a spoon to the bottom without contorting your hand. It keeps food extremely hot all night. In fact you have to undercook to avoid the food from overcooking while waiting to be eaten.It's perfect for my needs and I plan on getting a 2nd for backup.

In search of a thermos that will keep food hot for kids' lunches, I've tried several products and finally settled on the Blockhuette. At first glance its design looks like many of the imitations out there - the cap, the shape, the handle... but when it comes to the one essential property at keep food hot / cold, there's no pretending. The Blockhuette delivers. It keep hot water hot even after 24h. It's amazing.Another key feature that I don't see many mention but it's crucial for buying, is the way the inner cap is designed for each of cleaning and opening. There is a simple green plug that one can pull and the cap is then super easy to open. If you have used any thermos, you know it is near impossible to open a vacuum sealed cap after a few hours. This design solved that problem, especially if you don't want frustrated kids at school when they can't open the cap. And because of this design, it's also very easy to clean. In trying out other product, others may design spring-loaded pressure release valve but then it because impossible to clean since liquid will accumulate inside, creating a sanitary problem.I also like the fact that they included a spork. Kids loved it, and the bag and cleaning brush is a bonus. In the end, one can tell that the company is doing the best for their customers with this product. Great job, Blockhuette!

Wish the mouth was wider so that a hand can fit inside to wash off stubborn food

I made gravy for thanksgiving in the morning. It was quite hot. Transported it and when opened mid afternoon it was still very hot. Opening size could be larger.

I love that I can take 24 ounces of soup with me when I am traveling and it is leak free!!

This is perfect for my husband who works as a contractor out in the field. Tired of sandwiches, now he can heat up his soup or leftovers and bring it to work and have a warm hearty lunch.

I lost the spoon fork but that's on me waterbottle crockpot is dope
