Good quality
Arrived 2 days earlier than promised by the suppliers Hyatts Graphic Supply Co Inc of Buffalo, NY, USA .👍 All items were in the package and were in good condition. It took a few moments to locate the spare blades as the packet looked like padding, but once that was sorted I took a breath and had my first go. As with other users it took a little while to get the hang of it, but once I had it was easy and quick. The blade cut through the mount card easily leaving a satisfying sharp bevelled edge. I’ve now framed **10 of my paintings using old pictures with mount card included that I picked up in charity shops. As far as possible I tried to match each painting to the frame and made sure it was slightly bigger than each mount, so I could recut each one to fit. Next up is to cut newly bought A1 sized various subtle coloured 1.25mm mount card to fit frames and paintings, which I’m excited about.😀 Would definitely recommend this quality product and the suppliers.*Bought it for far less than it cost in the UK, even with shipping costs from the USA.😀*With plenty more to go!

Very useful piece of kit
This is a very useful tool if you want to cut mounts for pictures regularly. It does take a little practice to set it up right (blade depth etc) to get perfectly clean cuts but once you have practiced it is definitely more accurate than some of the manual cutting tools. Its not cheap but will certainly save you money in the longer term if you need to cut mounts regularly. Would recommend.

A good frame cutter
I find it impossible to cut a perfect frame with just a stand-alone cutter. Having the guide that 'clamps' the mount board and has a guide track for the cutter to run along, makes all the difference.Mine arrived without any blades, hence the 4 stars, but this is probably down to some h&s ruling.

Amazing Machine!
I had tried to cut some mounts using a sharp craft knife and a ruler. The results were terrible, so I decided to buy this Logan 747020 Compact mount cutter. Once unpacked it seemed like a large slightly unwieldily device. I read the instructions, and following a tip on here, watched a YouTube video. Everything looked quite straightforward. It turns out that using this machine is very easy. And more than that, the results are remarkable. If you've ever wondered how your local picture framing shop cuts mounts, it's probably with one of these. I was absolutely delighted with the mounts I cut. The rulers and guides on the machine are really accurate. I doubt you could do better than this and I doubt you could look at the results and say they are less than perfect. This may not be a machine I'll use very often, but it's such an asset I'm definitely keeping it!

Simplistic to use used also for art screen
Very basic yet adequate for the making of window mounts simple to use it has been delivered today and I have to buy blades as they are not supplied so it scores 4 stars instead of 5 purposely bought it for it's simplicity it's possible to cut/score 1mm perspex using this product I have yet to try thicker plastic check out perspex for pictures

If only it was a bit wider
Mine arrived well packed and as I had already watched the Logan videos I had a fair isea of what to do and I already had some A3 sized board mar4ked up and ready to cut out the opening, it is very easy to operate and the openings were perfect. The out with a new A1 sized board and tried to get it ready to cut lengthways only to find the opening is just not wided enough, it is easily solved by cutting across the width first, I wanted to cut lengthways first to be as accurate as possible in ensuring the length was equal. If only Logan had made it that bit wider for International sizes for had they done this it would have been 5*.

Works very well, good value
There are several Logan mount cutters, and I found this one to be perfect for my needs: mounting A4 photographs on 50cmx40cm boards for camera club competitions. It takes a few attempts to get it right, but once you know what you are doing (which way to move the cutter, how to keep a 45 degree angle and which side of the mount to cut) it is easy, and it looks very professional. The CD with instructions was most useful. The advantage over the less expensive model is that it comes with a matboard; the disadvantage is that it doesn't come with a ruler. The price (from my vendor) was very reasonable, compared to other, more professional models, and it allows me to produce a very neat job.
