No, gelatin is not vegetarian. Agar agar is a vegetarian/vegan alternative that works really well. You would have to get separate flavoring though, as I’m not aware of various agar agar flavors (though they could be out there?). Be careful with other alternatives though, as we got some weird vegetarian jello alternative from Sainsburys and it tasted awful. Agar agar was fine.
