Kindle Paperwhite Essentials Bundle including Kindle Paperwhite (16 GB) Without Lockscreen Ads, Fabric Cover - Black, and Power Adapter

I didn't want to like this reader as I normally use a tablet, but I really like this reader better. It is easier on the eyes and the battery life is outstanding. If you want to watch movies and play games, then this is not for you. If you just want a reader that you can see in sunlight or in any room, then this is it. One other thing of note is the ads. From other reviews I thought they would be intrusive and annoying. Phfft. Aside from them being the first thing you see when you open the cover and the Kindle wakes up you can easily ignore them and swipe to open the app. No big deal at all. I hardly even notice them anymore. Lastly, this just looks like the old Nook Books reader. Most people won't remember Nook, but they were the first to do this.

Had a kindle passed it down to adult child that passed it on to another family member. Definitely enjoyed by all. Waited for a bundle sale. Worth the wait. Very impressed with all aspects of my new Kindle. The weight, texture, ease of use, ability to adjust the font size, screen brightness plus so much more. The charge is impressive lasting many hours. No issues with delivery or packaging. I can absolutely recommend Kindle. So easy to take with you. Much lighter than a hardback book. The ability to have a whole library by opening the case/cover is a readers dream.

I had a kindle before that was almost 7 years old. I lost it when we moved and I was DEVASTATED. I stuck to regular books for over a year, but when I saw the kindle went on sale for prime day I knew I had to get it. I love it so much - the brightness and blue light adjustments are so handy. It’s so easy to use and connected well to my kindle account. Of course the battery life lasts FOREVER - a signature of the kindle. It downloads books quickly and easily. Definitely worth the money!! It is a little bigger of course than previous kindles so I am planning on buying a pop socket to make it easier to hold. Overall I love it!!!

I am absolutely in love with my Kindle! It has quickly become my favorite gadget. The battery life is incredible—it lasts for weeks on a single charge, which means I can read to my heart's content without constantly worrying about recharging.The size is perfect, too. It’s lightweight and easy to hold, making it comfortable for long reading sessions, whether I’m at home or on the go. It fits perfectly in my bag, so I can take it with me everywhere.One of the features I appreciate the most is the ability to customize the font size and the color of the light. It allows me to adjust the settings to suit my reading environment, whether it’s daytime or nighttime. The adjustable warm light is especially great for reading in the evening without straining my eyes.

I've been reading books in the Kindle app on my iPad. My iPad has a glossy screen and is heavy but this Paperwhite is neither of those. It's small (comparatively) and weighs almost nothing. The difference of ease on the eyes is very surprising and sorely needed.There are things you might want to know before you buy one. Pages only turn as if it was a paperback, right to left. There is no scrolling up from the bottom. An adjustment, not a problem. The size will be an adjustment but consider it a digital paperback and you'll be fine. It's not as fast as an iPad, so don't expect certain functions to happen instantly. We are truly spoiled, aren't we? Let it go.I'd never go back to reading on an iPad or phone. This is a game changer for me. Two very big thumbs up.

I loved, loved, loved my previous Kindle - 2015 version. It was lightweight and fit my hand (and my back pocket) well. But alas, all good things must come to an end. The battery started acting up (one minute it was 75%, next it was dead). It was getting too hard to manage and I needed to get a new one.So, I waited for Prime Days to get a deal (which really wasn't much of a deal - 10% off). I ordered the bundle with the charger and the cover.My thoughts on the Kindle:Pros:1. Battery life seems to be great - I haven't had to charge it yet, and I use my Kindle every day.2. I like the green color - anytime you can get something not in black is a bonus.3. The screen size is bigger and the bezel is smaller, so the reading real estate is quite a bit larger than on my previous one.Cons:1. It is slightly bigger and does not fit my hand as well. It is more difficult to read in bed, with the Kindle over my head, holding it with one hand.2. It seems much heavier than the previous one - causing more problems when holding it over my head to read in bed. My arms get tired.3. The cover that comes with it fits it well, but it does not have a hand strap to hold it with one hand. I have tried other covers, but I haven't found one yet that fits my purpose. It holds a lot of books, and you can take your reading with you anywhere.

My Kindle Paperwhite is easy to use and provides excellent lighting for late-night reading. I transferred all my existing books before the package arrived, saving time and making my new Kindle immediately usable. I highly recommend this excellent product for anyone who loves reading but wants to avoid dealing with a paper or hardback book after reading it.

Bought this a replacement for a well used and now completely broken kindle reader. The set up was so simple, kudos to the folks who engineered this. The reader itself is also improved over my older unit. They added new features that improve functionality without distracting from simple reading. Clever folks!
