Rock-Solid Reliability and Lightning-Fast Response
This just works—every time—with virtually zero latency. Whether you’re using the app, a voice assistant, or the physical switch, the response is instant and reliable. One small personal preference: the tactile feel of the paddle isn’t quite as satisfying as Lutron’s “dumb” switches. It’s more of a dull click than a crisp one. Not a dealbreaker at all—just something I noticed. Setup was straightforward, and once connected, it’s been completely hands-off. Exactly what I want from a smart switch—no fuss, no glitches, just smooth operation. If you’re looking for a dependable smart lighting solution, Lutron Claro is worth every penny.

Easy install the JustWorks
Great kit, much cheaper than buying these parts individually. These things work very well to add a near stock looking additional switch to a 2 or 3 gang wall plate. The best part is the ability to join multiple zones together. Have 3 different circuits of exterior flood lights? Just program them all to turn on with the same pico and now you have one wall switch to turn everything on, rather than running around the house. Get home late? Open the Lutron app and turn on the floods to help you unload the car. Amazing...

THEY WORK PERFCTLY
After struggling mightily for 10 plus YEARS with similar Leviton HomeKit compatible "Smart" switches (I believe they use the term ironically), talking to their tech support so often they knew my name, replacing 5 or 6 switches with newer versions but no improvement I finally tossed them in the trash & bought Lutrons. Not a single problem since a simple flawless install of the Lutrons, they work every time & the iPhone app that drives them is not perfect (could be more user friendly) but it works, IT JUST WORKS. Plus it's usable enough that there's no need to run it thru HomeKit, although it is compatible, there's just no need & I'd rather let Lutron software drive Lutron switches. The Levitons constantly dropped off our wifi network & had to be reset to factory & reinstalled. Of course every time we were away from home for a few days (the exact reason we got the stupid things) 1 or 2 of them would flake out & could only be reset in person, Kinda hard to do when you're 4 states away or on a cruise. Since installing the Lutrons not a single device has dropped off wifi or had any other issue. Have set up numerous "Schedules" to turn various lights on & off at night & morning, plus turning lights on & off when away from home & they are super simple to create & modify. Any that act based on sunrise or sunset automatically adjust with the changing daylight hours thru the year. There is confusion in the Lutron technical materials about the function of several different very similar looking switches. On 1 page they show 6 or 8 different similar switches & when you click on the Tech Specs (or something to that effect) instead of taking you to a dedicated page where you can learn the specific features or each different switch, it takes you to a document with dozens & dozens of pages & all the switches shown there, you then have to scroll up & down trying to figure out which is the switch you were trying to learn about. Very confusing & even when talking to tech support before I bought them, they weren't completely clear on the often subtle differences between the various switches. I wish I'd bought these years ago & will be adding more in the future. On thing I'd like to see in the app is a randomization feature for the schedules so they don't all work at the exact same time each day & vary themselves randomly to make for a more natural lived in appearance to anyone watching.

Awesome. Love the LED lights on the side
Glad they made grey. It was the closest match to my new bathroom paint.

Nice design
I’ve tried several switches in my house and this one is by far the best one. I’m not the handiest man out there so I did struggle a bit with the installation but I got figured out. It is a very reliable switch, I’ve had zero issues with connectivity, it responds extremely fast. I also love the design as it matches the style of my house and it looks just like a normal switch (others look flat)

Helpful switch
The Lutron concept of an app to control lighting is really helpful. It allows you to install a remote switch in any area without wiring. This switch was installed to replace an existing switch in my garage. I have Q cameras there and I wanted to get a better view if it was dark. This allows me to turn on the light to view or turn off the light if left on inadvertently. Since I don't need a dimmer for this application I chose this design.

VERH high quality, tight fit
This item is the usual high quality I have come to expect from Lutron. I have used Lutron in several homes over the years, and, like the slogan used by that phone and computer company in Cupertino, "it just works". Why not five stars instead of four? Because Lutron home devices only come with pigtail wiring. Note I said I have used Lutron in several homes. It this one, likely my last, I went almost entirely with another brand because they use screw terminals. In two- three- and four-gang junction boxes already crammed with wiring, jamming yet more wire into the box is at times virtually impossible. Lutron: if you see this review, PLEASE consider switching over to screw terminals. Your competition - GE / Jasco /Enbrighten, Inovelli, Zooz, and others already do. GE and Inovelli got my business this time.
