Good construction but changed out the bulb for 60 deg spread

There are lots of options when it comes to LV spotlights, especially in the bargain price range. These units are definitely heavy duty construction, especially as compared to other units in the same price range and utilize replaceable bulbs. Just installed a set yesterday in less than an hour and they look great. The only caveat, requires 12V DC. If you’re pushing 15V due to run length or an AC transformer you may have infant mortality on units closest to the transformer. I lost two bulbs yesterday and am going to drop the voltage down to 12V today and measure end of line voltage to make sure the lights at the run length of 300’ have sufficient power. Follow up, replaced bulbs in burnt out fixtures and they work fine w 15VAC, the included bulbs are rated for 12 VDC only but the socket is just fine with a more durable bulb.

These lights seemed great when installed, everything was fine, for about 40 days. Then 1 stopped working, then another, then all but 1 stopped working. Thought it was the wiring, but that wasn't it. They are just poor quality and unfortunately the return policy is only 30 days. That is a huge problem for "returns" when the product barely lasts past 30 days then there's nothing you can do to get a refund.

All plastic. Cheap quality. Not worth for the price.

We have needed to add some outdoor accent lighting for a while. We have some solar walk lights, but I needed something to throw light up against several group plantings.The lights themselves are aluminum and solidly made, while the stakes are ABS plastic, but sturdy.I like that the color scale of the lights is 3000k. You really want what you are lighting up to glow... not glare as it would with 4000k or 5000k lights. A big plus is the bulbs are replaceable. The included bulbs are only rated to 12 watts, but everything else in the kit will easily handle 15 watts if that is the amount of current you are pushing. You’ll just need to update to 15-watt capacity bulbs.The quality of all of the components is good and you should get many years of service from them.

Excellent outside lighting.

So I have a little walkway in front of my house that leads into the front door, and I planted some small shrubs that I wanted to accent. I thought this cat would do the trick, and for the price point it seemed to be around what I wanted for the area I wanted. I didn’t want to go to, crazy on the price as it was just a small area but I also didn’t want it to be what I could have done with a solar powered spot light. Do you know what I mean? I opted for these, I assumed they were metal housing, but they’re actually plastic, which they are OK for right now, but I fear that with the hot sun down here in south, Texas, they will eventually get brittle, crack, and or even worse break apart. Set up is easy if you know what you’re doing, you don’t have to be an expert, but just know that this is low-voltage, not 110v to the lights, so don’t expect a police spotlight type of quality from this product. I would recommend this for a small area where the distance from your power supply is not that far, because the further out you go the lower the light power will be at the end, also for beginners or a small garden area. Overall again, not a bad product if you’re just starting out., However, if you are looking for high end, high-quality type of fixtures, I would not settle for anything cheap as this is going to be your curb, appeal and talking point when people go by your house.
