Mine matches my Mac perfectly so maybe the colors been updated. Everything works no glitches. I wish it was magnetic but I like the double plug and I feel I got a good purchase.

UPDATE - October 2025: We traded in our M3 MacBook Air for a M4 MacBook Air. The adapter works perfectly with it too. Still extremely pleased with this accessory and couldn't live without it. What it does is make your MacBook Air into a MacBook Pro (in terms of connectivity) when you want it to, ie with the easy removal of the adapter. Pops on and off with ease. We use our MacBook in the field and this adapter has also proven itself in durability and scratch resistance. Get one - you won't regret it. This is BY-FAR the best accessory I have for my MacBook M3 Air. Use it literally every day. Had it about 8 months and it's also durable and looks like it is part of the laptop.

This hub works well with the Macbook Air 13" M4. The silver is not a 100% color match, but it comes close and is barely noticeable. This hub has all the ports I'd need and is slim, sitting flush with the laptop, doesn't block the charging port. I like the lack of labelling, the clean aesthetic of this port hub, and the port placement. It was lighter than I expected when I compared it with one from Anker, but like this one for all the already mentioned reasons.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Weight: Light Fit: Its very small, but hard on ports due to design. Needs some sort of support so that it doesnt flex when connecting to miltiple ports Port functionality: It should support more usbc ports....

I keep my M3 Macbook Air docked to a Studio Display most of the time, so now I have more ports than I could ever need. All of the ports work great, the midnight color matches perfectly, and it seats flush to my not-in-a-case laptop.

After decades in the Windows world, I purchased a 2024 Mac Air. I love it more than I thought it would, but the one annoyance is how few ports it has. Basically 2 USB C ports. No USB A, no Ethernet, no HDMI. A multiport adapter is a must have. I tried a couple of highly rated multiport adapters that have a USB C cable that plugs into the Mac, and they functioned well; they added the needed ports. However, it was a bit of a pain having the adapter hang from the computer if, for example, I was walking over to the printer. So I saw this one, and gave it a try. Problem solved. This plugs into the side of the computer and there's nothing hanging. It takes both USB C ports, but it adds more, plus it has ports for everything I need: USB A, data cards, USB C, Ethernet, HDMI, etc. I often just leave it plugged into my Mac Air and leave it there until I need to put the computer into a case for travel (and I could leave it plugged in but don't want to risk it getting knocked around and bent.) It does what it says and provides all of the ports I could need in a very unobtrusive way. Highly recommended.

I use it all the time and it works great. My only issue is that it's 100% not the same color as the MacBook. I'm not sure who to blame either Satechi for not being honest or Apple for making it complicated for other companies to copy Apple colors. Either way the product does what it is made for but don't expect a 100% color match. It doesn't look bad but not perfect. The pictures in the listing make it look perfect but it's not. I browsed around some other reviews and some of the others that have left reviews with pictures it looks pretty color matched...But in the proper lighting no :(

Life saver for having a MacBook Air, as it allows you to expand storage as well as add much needed ports. The color and material matching is top notch and almost looks like a native component.

I regret buying this product. I purchased it for 293 AED, and right out of the box, none of the USB ports would fit or work. All the ports are too tight, and I couldn’t even use it once. Unfortunately, I only checked it after the return window had closed, so I’m stuck with a faulty product. It’s honestly a total waste of money. It would be great if I could either get a replacement or a refund, but as it stands, I’m incredibly disappointed. Save your money and look for something better.
