Worked awesome with our 2025 MacBook Air. Does get a little hot with 4k monitor and usb a mouse wireless adapter connected. Not running power to it.

Fits MacBook Air perfectly. Looks great. Probably best for use on a table. You must be careful pulling things out but I am not disappointed. This is my first MacBook after having a fully tricked out HP laptop. This accessory makes me feel like I can again do anything. Nice product. Not a perfect match for the finish on the Mac but very close.

Small, Lightweight, and Perfect Beside a MacBook I genuinely love this little hub. The Satechi 7-in-1 USB-C Multiport Adapter ended up being exactly what I wanted for a lightweight everyday setup. The biggest surprise for me was just how small and portable it is in person. In the video you can really see how easily it disappears into a tech pouch or laptop sleeve without adding bulk. It’s light enough that I barely notice it in my bag, which matters when you’re trying to keep a minimalist setup. The color matching with my MacBook is also excellent. It looks and feels like it was designed by Apple themselves instead of being some random accessory hanging off the side of the laptop. Performance-wise, it’s been reliable with no issues so far. I use it daily for charging, peripherals, and media access, and it keeps my setup clean without carrying multiple dongles everywhere. Five stars from me purely because it solves a real problem while staying compact, clean, and travel friendly.

I recently upgraded my 2017 iMac to a 2021 MacBook Pro M1 Max. In the process, I lost some ports (the MBP only has three USB-C ports, no USB-A ports). So, after going through a number of alternatives, I settled on this hub to expand my port capabilities. It has two USB-C ports (one of them with pass-through power), and two USB-A ports (also has HDMI, SD card reader and mini-SD card reader, but I'm unlikely to use those). It does what it says. I have four external hard drives that I connected to the hub, and they work fine (none of these have high-speed needs with the exception of one that I use for photos - the rest are just various forms of backup or occasional use). HOWEVER, as you'll note from the picture attached, one of these hard drives connects with a Thunderbolt 2 cable, attached to an Apple Thunderbolt 3 to Thunderbolt 2 adaptor. I have to connect this particular drive to the highest-speed, pass-through power USB-C port in order to get the MacBook to recognize it at all. If I attached it to the regular USB-C port (the one on the other end on the bottom of the picture), it wasn't recognized. Lots of trial and error to discover that!! Note that I still have one USB-C port available on the right side of the MBP if I need it...

Works like a charm with a MacBook Air M5. It gets recognized right away, the USB that is used for charging can be connected to an external dock for both, power and video output too. Something to keep in mind is that it lacks a bit of support below it when connected which could lead to the USB C connections breaking under extreme angles/ forces

After decades in the Windows world, I purchased a 2024 Mac Air. I love it more than I thought it would, but the one annoyance is how few ports it has. Basically 2 USB C ports. No USB A, no Ethernet, no HDMI. A multiport adapter is a must have. I tried a couple of highly rated multiport adapters that have a USB C cable that plugs into the Mac, and they functioned well; they added the needed ports. However, it was a bit of a pain having the adapter hang from the computer if, for example, I was walking over to the printer. So I saw this one, and gave it a try. Problem solved. This plugs into the side of the computer and there's nothing hanging. It takes both USB C ports, but it adds more, plus it has ports for everything I need: USB A, data cards, USB C, Ethernet, HDMI, etc. I often just leave it plugged into my Mac Air and leave it there until I need to put the computer into a case for travel (and I could leave it plugged in but don't want to risk it getting knocked around and bent.) It does what it says and provides all of the ports I could need in a very unobtrusive way. Highly recommended.

Works well just NOT COLOR MATCHED TO MIDNIGHT! I paid the premium to get the "Midnight" while the "Space Grey" was $20 cheaper. If I wanted it to mismatch I should have saved $20. It works great on my MacBook Air 15" M4 though. Nice and slim. Has not gotten even warm while I have used it for a wired USB-A mouse and SD Card reader. Very well made. Have not tried the HDMI. Just beware of the color mismatch vs the stock product picture. You can see in the pics that Amazon's sticker says Midnight. I can also read the Barcode through the sticker and it has the Midnight UPC "810086360628" on the box. Knocking it two stars due to the fact it cost me $20 more and it is still mismatched on the color.
