Work Great but...
These worked great for hanging things in my 3 year olds room and they look nice but I will say, if you try to take it out of the wall after pushing it all the way in, the wooden top usually just pulls off, leaving the pin in the wall. I had to use needle nose pliers to remove a couple misplaced pins while hanging things. I will say, this probably wouldn't happen if you're pinning things to a cork board but if you're pinning to a denser surface (like directly into a wall) keep that in mind.

Very pretty -- but be careful!
These are gorgeous push pins. My only caveat is that if they meet too much resistance, the nail will come out the top! I wanted to push it into soft wood, and figured I'd try with my thumb and either it would work or I'd have to go get a hammer. Instead the nail emerged from the top of the pushpin and into my thumb! This isn't like a needle or something small and sharp -- it's the TOP of a finish-type nail, so it really hurt for over a week. When I did use a hammer, the silver top of other nails showed. Bottom line: these are GREAT for corkboards etc. Just be careful if you want them in something harder.

Perfect as little knobs.
Using these for little knobs. My wife is addicted to the "Maxwell House" international coffees. I take the plastic boxes, cover them in contact paper and use them for storing nuts & bolts and the like on a tray I built. I use decorative pin backs to hold them on.

Dangerous!
My son was helping me hang some things using these push pins and while doing so he ended up pushing right through the top of one of the pins and the metal piece pushed into his thumb hitting the bone. This happened on Oct 5th and all seemed fine with it after we cleaned it up with peroxide, put antibiotic ointment and a bandaid on it. This morning my son text me and said everything was fine with it until yesterday, Oct 13th, and that he was at the doctor's office because it became so painful the night before that he felt something was wrong. The doctor explained that she felt like a piece of the pin or the wood was left in his finger when the metal part pushed through the top of the pin and was causing a big problem. After a trip to a med stop this morning, a tetanus shot, some x-rays and minor surgery, the doctor was able to remove the piece and patched him up. Upon further inspection I did notice on other pins in the package that you could actually see on the top of the pin the metal piece in the middle just under the surface of the wood so I imagine this could become a problem again if you weren't careful. I am just going to throw them away and if I ever need something like this again I will buy a different product.

used to hang tapersties.
Used them to tack up tapersties. The wood seems to blend in unlike colored tacks. thumb power seems to work most of the time, but if needed ithey will take a hammer.
