Perfect in a dusty climate!
I own an ebike tours & rentals business and dust is our biggest problem in keeping our bikes clean. I cleaned all our bikes well, applied this Gteching product. No more dust problem! While we do get a little bit on the bikes, it's minute compared to without this product. With a fleet of bikes, this saves us so many hours of cleaning. When we do wipe them down, we use a water bottle to spray paper towels and it wipes clean. I highly recommend this product.

Very effective quick coat to make cleaning easier
Review of: **Gtechniq Bike Ceramic Quick Coat - Invisible Bicycle Paint Protection and Dirt Repellency - 500ml Spray - 6 Months Protection**First off, a couple of clarifications: This is NOT a cleaning product, it is a finish coating to use AFTER you have cleaned your bike (or whatever you are applying it to). The purpose is to create a slick coated surface to keep dirt and debris from sticking to your paint, and also to make it easier to clean dirt off the surface. This ceramic quick coat is NOT an actual ceramic coating. Applying a true ceramic coating is much more time consuming and involved and results in a clear coating bonded to the paint (or film surface) that is extremely hard and durable, typically lasting several years. I have two cars with actual ceramic coatings and I use this type of ceramic "quick coat" product periodically to help maintain the actual ceramic coating. With that said, this Gtechniq Ceramic Quick Coat works very well and is easy to use. You can spray directly onto the surface, but I find that for a bike with surfaces typically no wider than a couple of inches, this results in tons of waste due to the overspray (unlike a car where you have large surfaces). So instead, I spray directly onto a microfiber cloth and then apply to the surfaces. After waiting a minute or two, buff the surface again to bring out the shine.I have used half a dozen or more similar SiO2 quick coating products on cars and this Gtechniq Quick Coat seems to perform equal to most of those. Which is to say it does a good job. Regardless of whether it has been 6 days or 6 months, the longevity of the coating is going to depend on the conditions it is exposed to. If you get a bunch of mud and dirt on the surface, or you wash the bike frequently, you are going to need to reapply more frequently. If you just get some dust on the bike and rinse it off with water, the coating should last much longer. The nice thing is this coating makes washing much easier, and any water that gets on the surface will bead up very nicely. And as you might be able to see from my picture, it leaves a really nice shine. In my testing, this also works fine on surfaces with film on them. I have many of the surfaces of my mountain bike wrapped with automotive PPF (paint protection film), and this coating works equally well on those areas.Final note: there is nothing unique about this product for bikes, just like automotive ceramic/SiO2 spray products will work great on most bike surfaces (paint, CF wheels, film, etc).Overall, very pleased with this and getting half a liter for $33 puts this in line with similar products positioned for automotive use. I expected to see an inflated price tag since this is marketed toward bikes, but that isn't the case. Great product, and good for bikes, cars, trucks, SUVs, ... you get the picture.

Might as well be water
I have several gloss finish bikes that are simpler to clean than my matte finish bike, so I had high hopes that this product would help my matte finish bike stay cleaner and easier to wash like the gloss ones. I have tried multiple coats of this product and it might as well be just water. There is no discernible difference in how dirty the bike gets or how easy it is to clean. In fact it seems like it get more water spots.

Paint Protection (maybe?)
Paint Protection and Dirt Repellency:The Gtechniq Bike Ceramic Quick Coat is designed to provide invisible protection for your bicycle's paint, while also offering dirt repellency. The product claims to offer 6 months of protection, although I have not had the opportunity to perform extensive testing to verify this duration.Performance:During my initial testing, I found that the Quick Coat did a decent job of repelling dirt from the bike's surface. It created a protective layer that prevented some dirt and grime from adhering to the paint. However, it's important to note that if your bike is not thoroughly cleaned before applying the Quick Coat, it can potentially trap existing dirt or contaminants, which may affect the overall results. Therefore, it's advisable to ensure your bike is properly cleaned before applying the product.Comparable Price Range:Priced at $33, the Gtechniq Bike Ceramic Quick Coat falls within the mid-range of similar products available on Amazon. While there are cheaper options starting at $13, I also found options up to $133 (who would ever pay that much??).

Not magic but does help clean after
I use ceramic spray coating to protect my car and this appears to be the same thing. With the car I sprayed it directly onto just about everything. With the bike that results in a lot of overspray. I used a microfiber cloth behind the frame and then wiped the overspray onto the underside and opposite sides of the frame members. That way I wasn't spraying my disc brakes and shock towers. I doubt this would do any harm, I just didn't want to risk it.My bike paint is gloss black. I cleaned the bike before I applied this but might have missed a few spots since the rag got dirty. My chain contributed to that because of course it did. This ceramic helped cover up some scuffs in the paint on the top bar where I've dragged a shoe or the bike rack on my car has made marks.I commute by bike and used this on my trail in mostly dusty areas with some puddles and lots of sand and gravel. My bike isn't any cleaner looking but that's subjective. It did rinse clean pretty well though so I consider this to be a bit like Rain-X. It works to seal things so cleaning afterwards is easier.I recommend this for bikes but I've sprayed it on my car as well. I can use a touch up in places and I think this is about the same forumula.
