WORKS!
We have solar panels on our garage. The installation included an internet connection that was supposed to collect data on our energy production and send it to the cloud where we could retrieve and study it. It worked fine for two years, then refused to connect to our wi-fi. The installer was less than helpful, as was the data service provider. The garage is not very far from the house, but evidently the internet equipment must have degraded to the point where it would no longer connect.I looked into running Ethernet cable in the air, or burying it; but web wisdom said it was not a good idea due to the risk lightening strikes frying everything. Buried fiber-optic cable was a possibility, but turned out to be a difficult and/or expensive solution. Finally, I stumbled on this tech of a wireless point-to-point Wi-fi bridge. It seemed like a good DIY solution I opted for this particular kit because it was compete and well reviewed, even though it was comparatively expansive. There were installation guides on YT and it seemed a a good bet. Especially since it was fully refundable.I'm here to tell you...IT ROCKS! I had zero trouble installing and connecting it, and instantly we had our Wi-Fi to the garage resorted and our solar panel data flowing freely. Like I said, this brand is not cheap, but it is a snap to install. It's only been running a couple of days, so I will update if it gives trouble. Till then...we love it!

Easy set-up, works well
I bought this product in order to get internet to a metal building 250' from my house. Running an ethernet cable that far would have been difficult, so I thought I would give this a try. I ran CAT 6 cables from my modem/router to the master unit mounted on the side of the house and then from the slave unit to a router in the metal building. Once that was done, the rest of the setup was a breeze. Making sure the master/slave switch was set correctly on both units, I then plugged the CAT 6 cable into the 1000mbps ports and powered the PoE adapters. Within a minute the signal lights on the side of the units lit up showing full strength reception. I set up a new router at the metal building and everything worked. No problems. I have two small complaints. First is the lack of detail in the instructions. Most of the installation is intuitive, but better instructions would help. Second, the method of attaching the unit to the supplied wall bracket needs some rethinking. They have provided large hose clamps that are awkward to install and not very attractiveI have been using this for about 10 days. I have not had any issues. The wifi at the building seems faster than that in my house. I'm guessing that is due to a newer, better router in the building. I tried it during a heavy rain and had no loss of signal. I am using it to stream music, tv and to operate some smart light switches. Everything works fine. If anything changes, I'll amend this review. I would (and have) recommend this product to others.

Super easy!
Ok, I needed to replace a mouse chewed Cat5 cable in my house's crawl space to connect my home 's Xfinity router to my detached office. Its about 75" away and my wireless kept dropping webinars and video calls. So either pay someone $500+ to re-pull new cat 5 and re-connect or try a $200 PTP system. Bought this one. I mounted on the side of my detached building, connected the cables to the POE, POE to my switch (for my office laptop and printer). Super easy. Now don't laugh, but tried an experiment and set up the master unit in my indoor pantry. Hooked all cables up, powered up, got full power, went to my office and did a speed test and it WORKED! Really well. So no mounting my router side unit outside...it's hidden in my pantry and that makes wife happy. I'm running 200+ down and around 40 up. Not as fast as my wired connection obviously, but a very inexpensive fix!Look I know what I did probably wouldn't work for further distances, but for me, the indoor set up is working great!
