Best Vacu7m ever for Pets
Best Vaccuum Ever for Pets. This vacuum has so much suction that it is hard to believe how lightweight it is., which makes it so handy to clean blinds and windows. With tile floors and seven dogs, it cleans hard floors amazing. There is only one drawback. This is my third one because the two previous quit working due to cord issues. I replaced one cord and t hat one is still workingg, but the cord is an issue at about two rears. My final comment is, Dyson, eat your heart out.

An Excellent Little Vacuum for the Price!
This is a review for the BISSELL Zing Lightweight, Bagless Canister Vacuum, 2156A,Black/Citrus Lime, (there were multiple models available on this page at the time of review)Overview: I am shocked at how powerfully strong the suction for this tiny little cheap vacuum is. There is a lot to love and a few sacrifices for the price. I have used it for one full cleaning of my house and am really impressed. For this very low price of $80, this little vacuum is a great choice, especially if you have only hard floors. I have back and heart problems that do not allow me to bend over - this vacuum is great for me because the power/cord buttons are used with your foot, and the cord is retractable so you don't have to do it yourself. Background:We have a 2 story home with 2 dogs and a cat. We have 95% hard floors downstairs and 90% carpet upstairs. I was tired of lugging our very heavy and very unwieldy Shark vacuum up and down the stairs between floors. We have a problem with pet hair and dust, but since downstairs is mostly hard floors and 4 out of 5 times I vacuumed was downstairs, I decided to get a smaller vacuum. Because this vacuum doesn't have a power carpet attachment, I ordered a suction powered version from a third party to hopefully deal with the pet hair on the area rugs we have downstairs. The rest of the downstairs I will use the hard floor attachment.Pros:- This thing is incredibly lightweight and easy to maneuver. I am constantly surprised at how well it gets around and how little effort I have to put into moving or pulling it around.- The suction is much stronger than my $350 Shark! I can't believe it is so powerful and so small and cheap. I am skeptical it will stay this powerful over time, and I will update my review later if I notice it isn't not as strong as new.- Incredibly low profile - The included floor attachment is very low profile and it allows me to get under ALL of my furniture significantly farther than any other vacuum I've used. This is very useful.- The retractable power cord is a miracle. One of the things we struggle with constantly on our Shark is a tangled power cord - and it has to be wrapped up manually every time we're done.- It maneuvers well - the big wheels and "pull around" design really helps, especially for those who are disabled.- The unpowered floor attachment that comes included is surprisingly good at getting pet hair off the carpet compared to my old "hard floor" attachments. I was a surprised - it does take slightly more effort (more passes) because it's unpowered but the brush on the bottom does work. I almost think it might work better because the pile of the carpet is pulled up more than the rotating powered brush on my Shark does.- Accepts universal and other standard attachment sizes - one of the cardinal sins of my Shark that I've always hated/regretted is that it uses proprietary attachment connections so you can't really use non-Shark brand attachments with it. This vacuum accepts the normal size and I can use most of my old accessories with it, making up for the lack of accessories with the Zing.- The little edge brush accessory is tiny - and that's good! It really makes cleaning the baseboards in my house easier because it's smaller.Cons: There are some cons, which I can forgive at only $80. That price for a good, usable vacuum is unheard of. I just want to give an honest review, so I mention them here - but they are not really strong complaints, just things I want to mention.- Cheap hose, wand. The hose and wand are very cheap materials and are rather flimsy for what you normally get with a vacuum. I imagine eventually it will crack. I am OK with this as I have a horde of cannibalized vacuum parts from the past so I have sturdy wand extensions. The hose connection where the wand connects is also cheap and flexible so it doesn't hold the wand very well and it easily falls off. It's also made of a shiny/glossy plastic which seems to create static electricity charge and attracts pet hair while vacuuming - I have to clean it periodically.- I wish the power cord was longer. My Shark's power cord is probably double the length. It's fine and usable, I just have to change outlets more often.- It's probably only good for households that have primarily hard floors. Although I was impressed with how well it cleans our rugs, I don't think it's good enough for regular cleaning without a powered brush attachment.Overall, I highly recommend this vacuum, especially at this price.

I've created a monster!
I got this primarily to vacuum my dogs. That's right - I have two very large, very shedding dogs. A first gen Labradoodle - 1st gen don't always get the poodle coat. Mine didn't. He sheds. A LOT. I know people say their dogs shed, but seriously, this guy takes it to a whole new level. The other dog is a Rottweiler, who also sheds, but it's a "normal" amount.I have a robot vacuum, but it cannot cope with the volume of dog hair even running daily. The bin is always full. If I'm home when it runs I empty it twice while it's running. This is currently 4 days a week. The other three it gets emptied daily.Neither of our dogs are really afraid of the vacuum (before I had the robot one) so I figured it wouldn't be a stretch to get them acclimated to being vacuumed. So I ordered this and an attachment specifically designed to brush/vac a dog. The attachment was a waste. In the end I use the hose of this vacuum, without an attachment. Both dogs love it.However, the Rottie, she's obsessed. She begins barking excitedly as soon as I turn the vacuum on. I do use this to vacuum surfaces and corners where the robot can't quite manage - shelves, entertainment center, couches, corners, etc. My Rottie can't wait till it's her turn. And even when I'm done with her and move on the the non-Doodle Doodle, she is still trying to get in on the action. Bot dogs mad the "oh that feels SO good" face - seems to me it scratches the itch that they can never reach! Now - how does this little guy perform as an actual vacuum as opposed to a dog grooming implement? Surprisingly well! It has really powerful suction. Works great on all the items I mentioned. I haven't used it with the floor attachment but I can imagine that the folks who complain about it on carpet didn't read the description very well - there is no powered brush attachment and the suction is so powerful that I wouldn't even try to use it on carpet except with the crevice tool around baseboards, corners etc - I have all hard surface floors so this won't ever be something I do. I also can't speak to the length of the extension for the floor tool because I haven't used it - our robot vac does that job. The extensions do look short though so I can't imagine trying to vacuum my whole house with this - but I can see using them to take out cobwebs! As a lightweight, powerful hard floor vacuum, being used for everything BUT the bulk of the floor, I give this high marks. As a dog-grooming device I'm thrilled - the amount of fur and (shudder) dander that I dumped from the bin was a real eye-opener - and that's before I got to tapping out the filter (OMG that was disgusting!). I would not use this on small dogs.... the suction is powerful enough that you could probably lift a dog of 10lbs or less off the floor. But for my large dogs (+/-100lbs each), it's amazing. They love it, it gets the shed and hopefully it'll help cut down on the wear on our robot vac. It's also small enough that it tucks into our already packed hall closet easily. It rolls smoothly on the floor and even when I took it all over it didn't get tangled in it's cord. I also love that the cord retracts into the body of the machine. Between this and the robot vac, I will likely never use our expensive water basin vacuum again! If you're looking for something to get corners, cobwebs; to vacuum furniture and even large dogs, I don't think you can go wrong with this... just be prepared for your dog to become an addict.
