SAPHIRRenovator 50ml Jar with Polishing Cloth

An excellent colourless choice for restoring leather, you will not be disappointed!
The media could not be loaded. For 3 years now I have been using Saphir Renovateur for my Red Wing (all natural leather) Iron Ranger boots (in Copper Rough and Tough). My only regret is that I didn’t discover and so use it sooner.Firstly, this is a colourless cream, and it certainly has a neutral effect, so if colour is what you wish to alter then this cream will be ineffective for you. Otherwise, if you’re new to leather care, or concerned about ruining your leather’s natural dye or appearance, then I want to reassure you at once, that this product is safe. By applying it, copiously or sparingly, you will surely not affect the intrinsic colour of your leather skin, be it boot, bag or belt. No indeed, this is a gentle and friendly cream. Though, if you should notice a difference in appearance then it’ll rather be in value and vibrancy, with the final result being a far richer and slightly darker tone. (All leather will darken with moisture content, this is unavoidable and has nothing to do with a change in colour.)Watch intently as you apply your first layer of cream, consider how well it absorbs upon the surface: nourishing, cleansing, and working from within to make your leather feel healthy, supple, and moist. There is pleasure to be had as you go on feeding new life and strength into your leather. With this product you are not only increasing your leather’s strength and resilience, but, equally, you are relaxing and relieving it of any stress and tension built up through ware and tear. This would be particularly true if your leather, like mine, is a smooth skin, and coloured copper or bronze; true enough, if left alone after a soapy scrub, like mine it’ll dry a crispy, sandy, burnt beige. (Just see the contrast from the pictures I’ve attached).(When I first got my boots, I left it 6-9 months before oiling or any care, until I noticed splitting and flaking on the sides of the boot. I thought this was how natural leather ages over time. But no sooner did I learn online, that I realised I should be oiling, than I turned to my saving grace…Saphir’s Renovateur, because it worked so perfectly to restore my boots to their original glory).Anyhow, once you’ve used the Saphir Renovateur you may wish to add some added sheen by polishing. Try yourself a few minutes of brushing back and forth with a fine horse hair or polisher cloth. And to your pleasure this cream will even enhance the degree of glow and reflection. Just see my short video time-lapse, which I’ve attached, and you can judge for yourself!Overall, for almost £10, this is an excellent choice and a fantastic product, an effortless and highly effective cream - it even smells nice - while it leaves behind you a clean and pleasant aroma, which refreshes not just the body but the soul. You will not be disappointed.

Value for money at the price as it's so GOOD!
This stuff is quality for quality shoes.. instant creamy care and sustenance and nourishment for my Gucci loafers , Prada driving shoes and top-notch tan English lace-up brogues .. the better the shoe and the leather the better this stuff is! Wouldn't be without it now. Part of my shoe care regime.... I know I like BMW convertible sports cars and fountain pens and nice shoes... Quality product .. I have nothing bad to say about this product in any way.. it goes on easy to use has immediate effect and long-lasting deep ongoing effect and looking after your shoes.... I will never be without it.. it is simply a great find. All my shoes love it! : )) Very impressed with this brand as a whole.. this is one of their better products. My shoes are nearly all Italian and English. My cars are German and my shoe polish and creams are French. It makes sense.

Great treatment for leather shoes
Superb product, refreshes the leather and provides a great start for further polishing.

Good product but not the cloth it comes with.
It works perfectly with leather, it's a very good finishing touch after dyeing your projects and also a fantastic refreshener for your weathered leather hat, belt etc. The only downside is the cloth that it comes with, it has a very short life and leaves fluff on the leather, wears easily and crisps up after the first use, so better get an old t-shirt or pure cotton fabric for applying this product on leather.

For high quality leather shoes and boots - use this or Venetian Cream. Superb
For quality shoe care you’ve a choice between this and Venetian Cream. Both are similar - but Venetian cream isn’t readily available at relatively affordable prices in the Uk so generally if you want quick delivery from Amazon - this is your main choice. This is colourless so you can use it on any colour of leather shoeIt brings out a natural glow and sheen from within the leather thanks to the wax and oils in the ingredientThis gives the shoe a beautiful supple and luxurious look - yet subtle and not as if you’ve spent ages with spit and polish with some standard shoe polish.Use with high quality leather shoes and boots - I wouldn’t use anything else apart from these two products.I prefer Venetian cream but this is a close secondFor outdoor boots and hiking or combat boots use Leder Gris instead.I’ve attached a picture of (left) after using the cream and (right) not polished yet.Takes about 15 minutes per shoe/boot. Apply using the cloth - wait 3 minutes orLonger for it to penetrate - shine buff with a lint free cloth.I think more cloth should’ve been included.Make sure you use a mild detergent to clean any mud or dirt off first

First impressions- Good
I bought this having old quite expensive (in their day) leather shoes ( 30 year plus ) I'd bought with my first wages.I'd seen the hype on YouTube regarding this product and gave it a go.First immediate impressions were it smells nice.Secondly it is easily applied although the supplied cloth is,in my opinion, not that great. A old piece of shirt, vest etc would work better.Thirdly this stuff soaks into the shoe leather really easily and the shoes seemed to soften with it.Fourthly, I left the shoes overnight and then lightly buffed them with a clean cloth. They do seem a deeper shade but I put this down to some of the old applied polish coming away and the original colour returning. The shoes would need polishing to obtain a bull shine but look so very much better for applying this product. The leather is noticeablely more supple which makes it less likely to tear and damage.I will continue to keep using this product. It isn't cheap but what is these days and it does the job well.
