I had blueberries that just aren't doing well, used this guy to get them looking much better since I now know how much acidity to aid to make them happy.Lightweight device, doesn't require much power to work. The metal stem isn't super durable. I use a stick to pole the hole and then stick the rod into the hole. I think this is a great value, it cost less then my plants and is seriously saving thier lives. I used it on my other garden beds I just put in to fing out about thier overall health. It was nice to know what plants would do well in them.

The meter does OK with light, moisture, and temperature. The Ph only will read correctly if the soil moisture is in the normal range. If the soil is to wet the Ph will be low. The Ph appears to be most accurate when using potting soil in a flower pot. It is near impossible to get an accurate reading on a lawn especially if the soil is too most, and if the soil is too dry you can't insert the probe into the soil.

Now I get to drive to Kohls to return this. Do yourself a favor- unless you like having your time wasted- don’t buy this. If you do buy it ask to have it delivered straight to your local trash dump. At least then you won’t have to.

The unit accurately read the pH of my soil. The issue is that the construction is too cheap to withhold excessive use

This product works! It is wonderful not to have to guess if the plant needs watering, if the soil is dry, if the roots are standing in water! I love it. Also tells you the amount of light where the plant is. Do you need to move it for more or less light? I haven’t used the alkalinity meter yet. Most of my plants are in potting mix. I am going to use it with my raised garden beds. Just have not gotten around to it yet.I have purchased like items that turned out to be worthless. Don’t be fooled. This meter actually does what it is advertised to do. You will love it.
