Unpretentious Freeze Dried Shallots Baker, 0.9 oz , Flavorful, Gluten-Free

I love the mild flavor of shallots (in everything from egg salad, to soup, to burger toppings) , and don't like that they get dried out so quickly when fresh. This is perfect. Freeze-dried foods retain the size/shape of the fresh version, so measuring is very easy. They were ready to use about 2 minutes after adding water to the amount I wanted. I'm glad I ordered 2, and will get more when these are gone.

Liked the easy way to keep and dispense shallots without worrying about spoiling and waste

I love this! If I don't have a fresh shallot available, these are so easy to use and the flavor is great. I throw them in the frying pan with some butter and let them re-hydrate (so to speak). Add some garlic and you're good to go! Great flavor!

I bought this to add to some of my focaccia recipes. I like that I mix it into the dough without worrying too much about the liquid balance. This tastes very good, though I'm not sure how it would be in everyday cooking. The bits are pretty large.

Great to add to my backpacking meals. Also use them at home in grits, on potatoes, etc. Great when a recipe calls for fresh shallots and I am out.
