These are pretty good and easy to use but they wear down quickly

Theses are fine wire wool pads which work great, can clean oven glass (add a bit of sugar soap & it's much easier) & all sorts, but note they rust quickly so you have to clear up the brown rust water. Pretty expensive for what they are, but easier than regular wire wool with rubber gloves. I have enjoyed making things sparkle with these during lockdown :)

For the cost of them I would have been better off buying wire wool. Although they removed some of the effects of the fire from the stove glass, overall I do not feel they are that effective and will not buy again. My stove does not have heavy usage so would imagine for heavy use then they would have very little effect.

These pads are OK ….for a time.I found them less durable than other makes I ve used.They do not last as long and tend to wear away quite quickly when used rigorously.

Arrived in a timely fashion. Have used these previously with HG cleaning foam (for wood burning stove) & they work really well, we always keep a supply to hand

Thanks all for your quick responses to my question. I had actually already purchased them but was a bit nervous about using them on my brand new Yeoman CL5. As a result of your feedback, I plucked up some courage & took the plunge! At first it looked as though I was causing scratches but this was the scouring action which was removing the stubborn sooty deposits. To my surprise I can confirm that this has restored the glass as almost new. I also used a dry microfibre cloth to remove the residue dust left behind.

Really easy to use and very effective on the glass front door of my woodburner.
