I’ve been trying to learn Japanese for a few years. I’m not a beginner, I lived there for three years and speak ‘functional’ Japanese. I’ve wasted time and effort on apps such as Duolingo and Busso, plus YouTube etc and other text books. This is perfect, lessons are not boring and you grasp the reading, writing and grammar. Can’t rate highly enough!

Good textbook for both absolute beginners to Japanese as well as somewhat more advanced students. I'm not that far in volume 1 and I studied Japanese for years using Duolingo and Internet searches, so everything I've read so far is very familiar to me. But it's super nice now to have proper explanations for grammar in addition to practice, all in one book. It's good too that it pushes kana and kanji early on so the student will have to learn to read. The real challenge here is just staying regular with your studies.

Non c'è molto da dire, il Genki è sempre stato un ottimo libro di studio per la lingua giapponese, e ora che lo uso (precedentemente studiavo sul Marugoto) capisco anche perché. Ricco di materiali, molto accurato.
