Fluoride-Free for 5+ Years – Nano-Hydroxyapatite Toothpaste That Actually Works
Our family made the switch to fluoride-free toothpaste over 5 years ago after I began researching the long-term effects of fluoride. I had concerns, especially about daily exposure for children, and wanted a safer, more natural alternative. That’s when I discovered nano-hydroxyapatite (n-Ha) and we’ve never looked back. During my research, I learned that countries like Japan have used nano-hydroxyapatite for decades, instead of fluoride, to prevent cavities and rebuild enamel. Japan also does not fluoridate its water, yet still ranks among the top nations for dental health. Toothpastes like Apagard Premio are a great example of Japan’s success with n-Ha. This form of calcium, originally developed by NASA, binds to and fills in microscopic cracks in the enamel, reducing sensitivity and strengthening teeth over time. Since switching, we’ve experienced a big reduction in tooth sensitivity and visible improvements in enamel strength. This particular toothpaste has become my daily go-to, while I use Apagard Premio for natural whitening and Boca fluoride-free toothpaste for soothing my teeth on more sensitive days. To get the most benefit from nano-hydroxyapatite toothpaste, here’s how to use it: Brush as usual for at least 2 minutes Do not rinse immediately after brushing, just spit out the excess Let the residue sit on your teeth for as long as possible so the n-Ha can continue to remineralize the enamel Use twice daily for best results Pros: Fluoride-free and non-toxic Uses nano-hydroxyapatite (trusted in Japan for decades) Remineralizes enamel and reduces sensitivity Safe and gentle for adults and children Clean taste, non-foaming formula Cons: Less foaming than traditional toothpaste (but that’s intentional and actually better) Whitening is gentle and gradual, not instant If you're exploring a healthier alternative to fluoride, I highly recommend this toothpaste and nano-hydroxyapatite in general. It’s well-researched, used globally, and has made a huge difference in our family’s oral health.

No glycerin, great price, it works!
I looked high and low for a Hydroxyapatite toothpaste that did NOT contain glycerin, this is one of the very few (if not the only one) that is glycerin free, if you are wondering why, glycerin coats your teeth and can prevent re-mineralization which would defeat the purpose of this particular toothpaste. I am on my second tube, I wanted to use it for a while to make sure it worked, and it does. The toothpaste is a bit on the thinner side (compared to other toothpastes), which is fine, it does not affect it at all, it works fine, just be aware that when you squeeze some out, it will come out faster than you expect and might even run down the side of the toothbrush, I am frugal with it, I don't squeeze out a bunch of it so it's not a problem. I also "shake" the tube a bit before I open it, since it's thinner, I want to make sure all the ingredients are equally mixed in the tube before I squeeze it out, I don't know for a fact that it does or does not separate, it's just something I do for my own peace of mind. I brush my teeth with this toothpaste and spit it out but I don't rinse, I allow the residual toothpaste to remain in my mouth and on my teeth to get the most benefit from it. I noticed that within a few days, my teeth were less sensitive, I don't have a major problem with sensitivity but I did notice the difference. I feel like this gets my teeth and mouth very clean. I like the ingredients, the flavor is not like other toothpaste, it has more natural ingredients so it doesn't have that blasting, knock your head off mint flavor like so many other toothpastes have, this is more subtle, pleasant. I also noticed that my bottom teeth seem tighter, if I use a different toothpaste for a few days, I feel like my bottom front teeth move a little, not major movement, but it's there. When I use this toothpaste regularly, daily, it makes my teeth feel more tight. Bottom line, I will continue using this.

A Toothpaste That Tries—And Mostly Succeeds
I recently used a whole tube of this product which lasted almost about 3 1/2 months at two uses per day. I liked the orange taste and the mouth feel it has, which is a little foamy, but not too much. My teeth handled it well and did not have sensitivity or toxicity reactions to it. Overall, I'd say it felt healthy for my mouth. For those of you who don't know, nano‑hydroxyapatite is an ultra‑small version of the natural mineral that makes up most of your tooth enamel, and toothpaste uses it because those tiny particles can slip into microscopic cracks and weak spots in your enamel. By filling those little gaps, it helps smooth the tooth surface, reduce sensitivity, and strengthen the outer layer of your teeth in a way that mimics your body’s own enamel. The instructions say that for best results, after spitting it out, allow a minute or two before rinsing your mouth. I followed that, but it was a little annoying and threw off my routine a little. Not the end of the world, just sayin'. Another con was that the toothpaste dries out on the nozzle over time and makes the lid hard to close without cleaning it off. Again, not the end of the world, but just a small bother. Another nano hydroxyapatite toothpaste I have doesn't do that at all and I think it has to do with the aperture design and consistency of the toothpaste. I was also using an oil pulling product for the last month, so I don't know how much difference the toothpaste made in the shade improvement of my teeth vs. what the oil pulling did, but there is an improvement. I'm sure it contributed.

It reversed two small cavities!
This is really minty! Be prepared for that. I LOVE it. This toothpaste has been a game changer. I think it reversed two small cavities. I was surprised because I had delayed having them filled due to losing my dental insurance coverage and when I went in 12 months later for a cleaning with x-rays and they said there wasn't anything to be concerned about. I didn't probe further but I think it's because this toothpaste as it's the only change I made. I also had significantly less plaque buildup than normal. The hygienist said he couldn't believe it'd been a whole year between cleanings and there wasn't much work for him to do. I don't even floss every day! Very good product. It's a more expensive toothpaste but worth the money!

Everyone should give this a try
Fantastic product, I have been using this product for myself and my daughter for over a year now. Recently gotten my mother onto it as well to help her improve her oral health. My dentist has noticed the improvement also. 11/10 highly recommend!

Very, Very Minty, Took 2 weeks to take effect
There is a brand I get in Canada (Xpur Remin on Amazon.ca) that has the same key ingredient and worked in 3 days. However, I was away and couldn't get it before going back to Canada. This one claimed to have the same ingredient so I thought I would try it. It took about 2 weeks to make any noticeable effect. Yes, it did work, just not as good as the other brand nor as fast. The main drawback is that the mint flavor is very, very strong to the point of unpleasantness the first two weeks (I've been using it for a month or more now). I also find that if I brush for a longer time, the paste becomes thick and harder to wash out of your mouth than normal toothpaste. I didn't find this with the other brand. One caution. I looked up other brands with hypoxyapatite (the key ingredient) and no other ones on Amazon would disclose their percentage as if it was some big secret. Whereas, this company is open and upfront with it increasing my level of trust. Another thing I found with other brands was that they included unnecessary and potentially harmful ingredients. For instance, one brand on Amazon said it used coconut water in the toothpaste. First, coconut water does nothing for your teeth--seriously, nothing. Have you ever heard a dentist say "you should brush your teeth with coconut water." Second, coconut water contains 0.4g or sugar per tablespoon. Sure, it is small in the toothpaste but why would I brush my teeth with anything with sugar in it, sort of defeats the purpose of cleaning your teeth for no upside benefit other than a marketing ploy. Overall, this product does work. It isn't cheap, the company was open and upfront, it just takes a while to work and overcome the high mint flavor.

Best for teeth
Best toothpaste I’ve used. The taste can be off putting at first but you get used to it. It’s not horrible just weird lol. Ever since I found out glycerine is bad for your teeth and enamel and it seems to be in all other toothpastes, I got this one for its benefits and the fact that it’s glycerin free! I also avoid fluoride as well so that’s another bonus. It works great!!

Can't explain all the glowing reviews, it's terrible
I was using BioRepair before this one and that is a better product than this. The whole "made by a dentist" is just marketing bs since every toothpaste is made by highly qualified product engineers that probably know more than any doctor would. Isn't it more chemistry than x-rays and filling cavities? I don't know why a dentist would more capable and I'm here to tell you this dentist is definitely not. This toothpaste does not clean your mouth or teeth. Every toothpaste I use only requires a small amount for it to adequately cover all my teeth while brushing with extra to boot. This toothpaste says to use a pea sized amount and it's so powerful but a potato sized amount is practically needed if you want to brush your whole mouth. It does not foam up, which is fine, but it has zero volume increasing properties so as you brush you run out of product. My teeth don't feel smooth and clean with this stuff and the primary function of a toothpaste is to first remove the plaque that everyone gets. It has abrasives in the formula but you just need much more of the product for it to work. Even using a proper real amount does not provide any real benefits. I have sensitive teeth and bought this specifically for the nano hydroxyapatite but it did not help at all. Look at where it is on the ingredient list. I thought 6% nano was going to be a lot but then I realized BioRepair lists hydroxyapatite first in their ingredients. It's not nano but it is the majority of the product. I know that because if you spit out the toothpaste after brushing into a glass and leave it to evaporate it leaves a very solid thick white layer behind. This product doesn't do that. Obviously the white stuff is what is supposed to be bonding to your teeth - that's the whole point of buying this. I got the orange and it tastes like a salted orange rind. It's not bad but it's not great. I really did not have a good experience at all and basically stopped using it halfway through the tube and I'm back to a fluoride toothpaste. I may try BioRepair again since it worked as well as a fluoride toothpaste. However, I cannot understand why this is so highly rated.
