Odense Marzipan Roll, 7 Ounce (Pack of 3)

I use marzipan every year in my Christmas backing, but it's disappeared from our small town store's shelves. So, I picked it up here. Pros: - tastes as I'd hoped - nice consistency for my baking - fresh Cons: - a little more expensive than I was accustom to paying but cheaper than burning the gas to drive the 1 1/2 to the next city. This came with three packs of marzipan. The quality is what I expected—nice consistency, easy to work with, and good taste. It's fresh enough as well and exactly what I'm accustom to using. So, the baking can start.

DELICIOUS!!!! Made shortbread with a marzipan center. Had never had it (& known it..) before. YUMMY!!

This is a quality product. It worked well for our holiday baking. The product also arrived on time.

I like marzipan and anything with bitter almond. But I received only one tube instead of the three tubes that should have been in one package/shipment.

As promised and on time

Think about this one way, marzipan is not something you grow up to like in the US, but some of us have been in different parts of the world growing up and let me tell you, marzipan was one sweet discovery for me when I was a kid, got a marzipan pig, was big and delicious, been a fan since then. Came back to the US and you cannot find marzipan that easily, so one day at the supermarket I found a box, actually there were 2 different ones, Marzipan and Almond Paste, for those of you that want to bake, use the almond paste made also by Odense. Long review? nah, is just words put together :) enjoy!!!

This Marzipan paste was fresh and I am very happy with it. Expiration is 16 months into the future but of course I will use it up before then! So many recipes for this, and even slice thinly and serve at room temperature on appetizer trays! Just the perfect sweetness in my opinion! I can recommend this marzipan paste!

I have bought Odense marzipan many times and it has always been really good. This time however it is very bitter and tastes bad. I don't know if the issue was with Odense or the seller in how the product has been stored. It is before it's expiration date so that is not the issue. Update: I ordered Odense marzipan from another seller and it tastes good. Just the way it has always tasted. It must have something to do with the seller not the brand.
