Brings back so many memories.
I first bought this game on the PS2 when it came out all those many years ago and I would say that this is not a kids game. It is a game for adults who were kids when this game first came out (aka big kids). It follows the story of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets fairly well and is a significant upgrade from the first game (so much so that they released the first game again using the game engine from this game). You start off with relatively few magical powers and as you go through the year/game/story, you learn new spells which in turn opens up new areas of the castle. The game is a mix between an open world/sandbox style game and a linear story driven game. You have the freedom to roam most of the interior and exterior of the school between carrying out storyline missions. You have the option of doing side quests in between storyline missions such as locating someone's missing property (spell-o-tape, a missing package etc), racing on a broom stick, gnome throwing challenges or locating wizard cards hidden throughout the castle. If you can't be bothered doing the side quests, you can also just do the storyline missions such as classroom missions in the day where you learn new spells, or "go here, get this and do that" missions in the night where you use those new spells. The night time missions also have prefects and teachers patrolling adding a stealth aspect to them. The graphics are what you would expect from such an old game but if you owned this game as a kid, you probably wont care about the graphics. The soundtrack is still very good. The voice acting is not great and I don't think it uses any of the actors from the movies. To summarise, if you are a Harry Potter fan and you own a PS2, you should get this game.

Good but no booklet
As a Harry Potter fan I love owning the games the books and other merchandise and what I was missing was this game the PS2 version. I got it yesterday and it was good fun however there was no booklet. Luckily I know my way around Harry Potter games by now and for people who don't theres as always an ingame tutorial getting you used to the game. Unfortunately after 1 day the game has frozen on the start up :s I have no idea why but I shall clean the disc and should hope it works.

It won't load.
This disc will not load, no matter how many times I have tried it will not play, I have cleaned the disc several times along with the machine but to no avail - waste of my money.

Great customer service.
I ordered this for my fiancé, she’s not really a gamer but played this when she was younger. The game arrived quickly, before the estimated arrival date. However, unfortunately the game didn’t work. I contacted the seller who replied promptly and offered to send another. Again, the second game arrived within a few days. I can’t fault the service from the seller. The game is an old release for an old console so whilst it was a little frustrating the first one didn’t work, it’s wasn’t unexpected. However, the service from the seller and prompt responses more than make up for it. Really been enjoying the game so far.
