Does the mouse and keyboard turn off automatically to save power or does the usb have to be inserted into the mouse every time?

When the USB is plugged into the computer, the mouse light will go off after a certain period of time when inactive to reserve energy.

will it work with Ubuntu Linux?

Not tried ubuntu specifically but I don't see any reason why it shouldn't work, it's worked on the console/installer for proxmox (debian based hypervisor)

Does the periduo-212 wired mini keyboard use the fn+arrow keys to do home/end/pgup/pgdn?

Hi, has anyone had any issues with the mouse? Mine regularly fails to track properly and I have to lift it and place it down again for it to register.

We've seen no problems at all. We use ours on a mobile IKEA cabinet in a medical location, and so it just sits on the top of the cabinet surface, which is white melamine. The mouse tracks perfectly and shows no issues at all. One question: are you using it on a mouse pad, and if so, is it one of those mouse pads that has a slightly reflective surface, as we have had problems with other mice when using those. Best way to check is with a dark leather or fabric surface to see if you get the same problems.
