I've used this now for over a year, I liked it so much I bought a second one. Works great, it's quick to install and remove and has great control.I could be happier.

Not used as yet but looks the business, will save time setting up and down good quality well packed and delivered on time.

Have only used this and the rams qr cymbal clamps a couple of times but they’re brilliant as a time saver when setting up and pulling down and they don’t fly over the room like trad fittings 🤣

You'll need to wind the upper plastic and metal nuts to the top of the clutch to get the quick release mech to lock after putting on the top hat. Then adjust to your desired setting afterwards. Does that sound a bit complicated?....you decide...it is quick release though...one way or another...

I’ve tried a variety of different clutches before from Gibraltar, Pearl, DW, Mapex and Tama. This is by far the best - the quick release really will save a bit of time but the reason for the 5 star review is also partly because of that clever little red washer that replaces the usual top felt. The hats swing a little easier and actually sound better - I believe this is because the felts usually choke the sound a little, not that I’ve ever noticed before, but my hats now sound a touch brighter and more articulate when played closed, and more of a sizzle when open. The clutch has so far not slipped or required any adjustment in many hours of playing. Would definitely buy again if I lost it.

I got this clutch today and used it at a gig the first time. A press of the button and off comes the lock, take off the felt put the top hat on, put on felt, put the lock back on press the button and it's SOLID! I adjusted the top hat for a big sloshy open sound and it didn't move a millimetre even though I put the hats through some serious work. Also the hi hats sounded brighter with more articulation. Give it a try, you won't regret it.

This device helped me so much I just can’t describe how brilliant it was . As a pro drummer I sometimes have to use hired drum kits with poor hi-hat clutches . I know take the Tama clutch with me at all times as it’s so lightweight and extremely easy to use.
