OXO Good Grips Seafood & Nut Cracker

These have a nice, sturdy feel and function perfectly. So much better than the cheap version I had.

I actually use these for planting/trans-planting my plants. The scoup end makes the hole for seed/plant and for getting them back out. The tiny prong side helps with trans planting the tiny plant so you don't break the roots of the plant. Works perfectly. Easy to use. This tool is sturdy and won't bend/break. Has a nice gripper to hold. The size of this tool is perfect for the job and it's not heavy at all. Love this tool.

Rather cheaply made poor quality

I've been using the cheap old-style nut cracker for years. It often kicks back and pinches me when it cracks the nut. I got tired of the bruises it left on my hand. I just got this one from OXO and I'm really happy with it. It is a little wider, a little heavier, and a little more substantial than the cheap old style. I can finally crack open stubborn pistachios without harming myself. Absolutely worth the extra few dollars for this one.

I may use it to crack crab, but my main use for this wonderful OXO cracker device is cracking filberts for my backyard squirrel pals. I got tired of peanut shells on my lawn and decided to try giving them shelled filberts instead of peanuts in the shell. They loved the filberts but I got a blister on my finger from cracking filberts with a regular nutcracker. They’re hard! I was also struggling with the nuts slipping out of place and smashing them into fragments way too often, vs getting a whole or at least two halves out of the shell. This OXO cracker gives me control. The nuts don’t slip out of it and it’s easier to just lightly crack the shell, preserving the nut meat whole or in halves. Far fewer coming out as crumbs. And easy on my hand! No more blisters. I don’t have a particularly strong grip and this cracker makes using it a breeze. Spoil yourself and get one, if you ever need to crack a lot of nuts. Just so much easier and faster to use than the typical kind of nutcracker. FIVE STARS.

das ist der beste nussknacker den ich je hatte . er knackt mit wenig kraftaufwand einfach alle nüsse. natürlich außer kokosnüsse !!

These are really compact, though incredibly strong. They seem to get leverage through a clever connection point which eases its way through nuts including really hard ones like brazils and almonds.
