These have been a game changer for furniture restoration! They are made of a heavy duty rubber or softish plastic. I have been using the heck out of them and they don't show any wear or tear. Love how many shape options you have to fit any nooks and crannies.

I do traditional hand-tool woodworking, and I consider these sanding pads essential for anyone who cuts their own molding, or in my case, simple beading. I am making tongue and grooved (matched) boards for the bottom of a large pine chest. Traditionally, matched boards are decorated with a bead molding beside the tongue to essentially hide the imminent gaps that will form from wood movement.It was my first time cutting such a joint on a real project, so I cut a test piece first, which turned out perfectly.The tongue and grooves turned out fine on the final piece as well, but unlike my test piece, a few of my boards had some reversing grain, which my beading plane (a well-tuned Stanley no. 50) was forced to cut against. The beading on several of my boards turned out horribly torn-out and ragged. No amount of planing could fix the problem because the fence on pretty much all beading planes only allows you to work in one direction, which in these few cases was against the grain.I just about lost sleep over how poorly the beads turned out, until the next day when I was sanding the face of each board to prepare them for finishing, I remembered I had ordered these a few months ago! Even though my beads were 3/16", and the smallest round-over sanding pad is 1/4", it still worked wonderfully.In order to sand the deepest part of the bead, however, I had to use sandpaper wrapped around an old ID card.I have included a picture showing one of the formerly mangled beadings. You can still see a tiny bit of tear-out on the edges, but I can live with that!Sometimes you just have to go against the grain, and these sanding pads really helped me out!

I enjoy refurbishing furniture, so these tools have been such a huge help to get in the spaces my regular sander can’t get. Would highly recommend!

Great - Shortened our sanding time significantly. These made sanding the intricate door jambs in our house so much easier and faster. We did most of the house before purchasing them, but once we started using them, we wished we had purchase them sooner. Well worth the money.

These are exactly what I needed. I don’t refinish a lot of things, but I wanted to sand my grandmother’s table from the 1800s and I didn’t want to use my clunky electric sander. I needed something delicate. The small, rubber shapes in this kit fit the curves, grooves, ridges - everything I needed on this ornate piece.

These make detailed sanding such much faster. Lots of great options for different sizes and shapes. Has worked for all decorative wood working that I have need to sand and refinish.

I received these 11 Piece 21 Profile Contour and Angle Sanding Grip Pack yesterday and decided to give them a try today. I only got a chance to use the 1/4 & 3/8 Contour Sanders today. I'm impressed how these companion sanders tackled my detailing task. I used various sandpaper grits from various manufacturers. These Contour Sanders truly excelled when using high-quality sandpaper. My right hand is raw at the moment because I detail-sanded for 6 hours nonstop. The flexibility of rubber actually made it tolerable. I can only imagine if these Contour Sanders were made from a harder material other than rubber. So glad I found these on Amazon and took a chance. It paid off. It made my job so much easier.
