Great quality and taste, but taste buds are different
Love the item. I ordered the peanut butter flavor and I enjoy it on a daily basis. I know many people will not enjoy the flavor, but let’s be honest, when it comes to food and drinks, it all comes down to preference and taste buds. In my case I loved and my wife tolerates it. As far as quality, I do believe it is great quality as shown by some 3rd party studies. I enjoy the convenience and price of buying in bulk, especially when training. As far as keeping you satisfied, I think it does a good job, but because it is plant based don’t expect to fill like it can be a meal replacement, plus it is easily digestible, or at least that is my case, which I like too. I don’t feel bloated, nor gassy which has happened with other type of protein shakes. I will continue buying this product, especially when it is on sale and I stock up

Love it!
Reading the reviews it's obvious that there's no in between.. people either LOVE it or HATE it. I'm in the LOVE it category. I prefer stevia over sugar or franken-Swertner and I blend this with a banana and blueberries with H2O or almond milk. I'm healing from iron deficient anemia so this really helps with the protein and iron plus I really enjoy the thickness that the banana brings to the table.I'll will say to the manufacturer that we're all semi intelligent and aren't easily fooled by the HUGE container that's really only 1/2 full so it'll be okay to resize the container to use 1/2 the plastic and we won't feel cheated like we're not getting as much as the other brand.. in fact we might respect you for saving on resources so you can lower the price while using less plastic.

Chalky and smelled like pumpkin?
It’s chalky. Not unbearably, but even blending it was chalky. I used almond milk and could never get rid of the chalky texture. I got the vanilla flavor, it smelled like pumpkin but tasted like vanilla. Initially, I thought I got pumpkin spice instead of vanilla, it was intense. It’s protein powder, it did its job. I felt full after having it for a good bit, like I had a good snack. It didn’t upset my lactose intolerant stomach. I’d buy again, but I’m still hunting for a powder that isn’t chalky so it wouldn’t be my long term protein powder unless they can get rid of the chalky texture.

New Favorite Protein Powder
LOVEEE! Comparing it to Orgain (since it’s a more popular brand) it’s much less grainy, the sweetness isn’t overpowering like Orgain (it’s sweetened with stevia, so it doesn’t upset my stomach), and it tastes great! I either make a fruit smoothie or chocolate/peanut butter smoothie, and with Orgain it was hard to taste either flavors, but with Vega, I get a perfect balance of protein powder + smoothie base taste. I highly recommend, it’s my new favorite and will definitely re purchase

Great quality
This is by far my favorite protein shake. Works wonderfully to add in your own fruits and veges. Great way to get extra protein without any stomach upset that sometimes can come along with that. Highly recommend!

Whoo! Are my nutritional problems solved?
Ever since a nutritionist told me I should be eating 30 gms of protein in one sitting every day, but preferably three times a day until I healed up I've felt dismay every time I thought of this. 30 gms is 5 large eggs, five oz of boneless cooked skinless, defatted chicken or about 7-8 oz of steak with bone. How does anyone put that much food into their bodies day after day let alone three times a day? Less fanatical doctors have warned me about doing this. Even if you balance one of these meals with a vegan diet, it's rough on your heart and kidneys for sure and probably all the rest of your internal organs too. And yet with all these dire warnings, I wasn't healing. Clearly, I needed to be on this diet.Practically speaking, it's also a lot of cooking. I can't keep up with 30 gm per day and end up eating the healthiest frozen food to fill the gaps. All in all, my diet may technically hit 30 gms for one meal but the day is unbalanced because I don't have enough time to prepare vegan foods.Of course, I've tried protein supplements but the entire category is rife with problems. Protein powders suffer from contaminants the most notorious being heavy metals. Yeah, we're talking lead, cadmium...real nice stuff. And there are a gauntlet of safety boards that independently test for contamination. The only one I see here is the non-GMO seal which is nice but do people really think plants can't pick up something nasty?Having said all that, the ingredient list is the only one I've encountered so far that won't upset my gut. Being able to hang onto the stuff is the furthest I've gotten with these powders.Oh yeah. It tastes good. That's a new one.Vega, you have done well... so far. You need to sign up for a fistful of safety certifications. Pretty slogans about being good for people and planet carry little weight here.Less you think I'm being harsh, Vega is the highest scoring product I've tried. The others were complete wash-outs due to lack of safety standards or even worse they had the safety but added difficult to tolerate ingredients for assorted cosmetic reasons which caused the gut to reject it entirely. I can't like it if I can't hold it down.I've done some internet research on this topic, the nutritionists are trying to trigger protein synthesis which you need to heal. Protein synthesis once initiated lasts for vaguely 36-48 hours before you need to restart. Eating protein in one sitting is about 2-3 hours. If you want to maximize healing eat 30 gms per sitting 3x spaced evenly throughout the day. Most of the timings come from the weight lifting community and were measured on muscle but I'm hoping it generalizes.Using the Vega with some food 3x per day still seems unrealistic. I tried 30 gms in one sitting and I could barely eat for the rest of the day.

Great option, just half of what you think is in there
We've been using this protein powder to bump up protein levels in baked goods, as well as in smoothies, etc. Take more that the container is only about half-filled; it's obviously intentional as there is a mark on the outside of the plastic jar that is labeled as the fill level. Overall the flavor is very easy to integrate into recipes, and the ingredients list is impressive; aside from getting about half of what you think you are, we are happy with this.
