Another great Tintin story!
The adventures that Tintin has and his travel to find Professor Calculus are so funny--- llamas escorting Captain Haddock wth their spit!! and Tintin's ability to "turn off" the sun with an eclipse! We love this author!

A Perennial Favorite
Prisoners Of The Sun is the continuation of the adventure started in The Seven Crystal Balls. It is an excellent installment in the Tin Tin stories. Tin Tin was one of my earliest introductions to travel and adventure, as well as good cartoon artwork (as opposed to all the wierd super heroes in tights and odd jewelry). I daresay reading Tin Tin as a child was a formative experience, and I still enjoy them today. However, if you're new to Tin Tin and Snowy, start collecting from the beginning with Tin Tin in Russia. It's a little different than the rest but will get you off on the right foot.

WELL WORTH A READ.
You can't go wrong with Tintin books. I bought most of the collection from Amazon, finding the others elsewhere. I wanted to get them before the new reissues came in, stimulated by the movie. I find the newer, multi-story versions too condensed to read with ease. The original bigger paperbacks really are the way to go. Sometimes the origninal just can't be beaten.

Love Tintin and Milo
Grew up reading Tintin and Milo's adventures and couldn't get enough of them. Once you pick up the books, you can't put them down, no matter how old you are. Wish they would keep the original (French) names in the English version of the books though, more authentic! Thank you Hergé!
