Excellent product and easy to fit for your average handy-man.Be warned that the product is shown for sale with a comprehensive and very detailed drawing of it.. You need to check the dimensions of your own product very carefully as some look the same but are slightly different.

Great neat cartridge that is easy to swap. Refer to other reviews regarding choosing the correct cartridge, then hopefully my photographs will help you do the job. These install pictures are for a single pillar basin tap. Before you start work please ensure that the water supply ‘hot and cold’ are turned off. Plug the basin hole to prevent loss of dropped items!Tools you will need: Small flat end screw driver, correct size allen key, adjustable spanner, pair of pliers and some silicon grease. Maybe a rag, just in case!Photo 1 and 1a show a typical single pillar basin tap.Photo 2 Take your small flat end screwdriver and gently pry the ‘hot-cold’ cap off the tap. Keep safe.Photo 3 Undo the Allen screw (grub screw) that is exposed with the Allen key. Loosen only, no need to remove completely.Photo 4 Lift off the top.Photo 5 Unscrew the decorative collar. Keep safe.Photo 6 shows exposed nutPhoto 7 Use adjustable spanner to undo nut. Keep safe.Photo 8 Use pliers to pull the cartridge out, some force will be required.Photo 9 and 10 indicates the cartridge.Photo 11 Apply a small amount of silicon grease to the rubber seal and seat the new cartridge in the tap body, ensure it is seated correctly. Use fingers to tighten nut then use adjustable spanner to tighten nut ¼ to ½ turn. Do not over tighten.Photo 12 Replace decorative collar.Photo 13 Replace tap top.Photo 14 Use allen key to tighten retaining screw.Photo 15 Replace ‘Hot-Cold’ cap.Turn water supply back on and check for leaks.Congratulations. You have replaced your tap cartridge, have got a new skill and saved a fortune in plumbers fees!PS. Unfortuneately, although it was the correct barrel size, the top fitting was too large for my tap, therefore I returned the item.Service and delivery were excellent, though!

Ordered this on Sunday and it arrived on Tuesday. Bought it to replace the cartridge in a Bathstore Mono Blade tap, which was only a year old when the cartridge started playing up causing the tap to be difficult to turn on and off. It fits a treat and a lot cheaper (even with the postage) than a replacement from Bathstore.

In addition to a visual similarity check, I spent a bit of time carefully measuring the old cartridge and comparing with the technical drawing of this one before I purchased (there are some slightly different versions). All seemed well.Item delivered promptly next day as expected with Prime, and fitted very easily with just a little silicone grease around all the gaskets. Nipped up the big nut, reassembled and hey presto...no leaks or momentary after-run.Competitive price from Amazon as usual.Any problems and I shall report back. But so far, 5/5.

My tap started to drip continuously all of a sudden. Amazon delivered this the next day. It was easy to fit this myself, using a spanner and allen key to take apart the tap, following instructions on a youtube video. Works perfectly.

5 stars for the excellent customer service: Very quick delivery and, although the product was faulty, they refunded the cost without any problems.1 star for the quality of the product: It was easy to fit but it leaks badly, despite being the correct cartridge.

For those of you who have a single pillar basin tap please be aware that there a couple of sizes so to be on the safe side you need to remove the old one and check on the diameter. If you are not sure how to do this best call in the professionals.This one fitted perfectly and in all it only took about 15 minutes from start to finish, don't forget to apply some silicon grease on the body and base O rings, it will need a firm push to fully insert it into the tap body.Oh yeh don't forget to turn off both the hot and cold supply to the tap first
