Standard knitting nancy
Bought as a present so I haven't used it myself. I like the clear perspex and it has a needle/pick.

For icord - just like grandma taught me to make all those years ago.
After my disastrous attempt at icord making using a knitting mill I went back to basics. I was going to ask my husband to make me a good old fashioned french knitting bobbin and so I handed him the hammer and nails and then realised that all my cotton reels are plastic and not wood. When did that happen? So, I had to buy one. I really like this well made knitting dolly with prongs that are securely fitted and don't feel as if they are going to break or come loose. The four prongs at the top are nice and wide, not too fiddly, and the dolly itself is shaped so as to make it nice and comfortable to hold. It comes complete with a "pin" to use that fits nicely inside the dolly and I am not too sure of the logistics here but it doesn't seem to fall out. It stays nice and secure with just a little "push" needed to release it out of the dolly ready to use. It may be very slow when compared to the knitting mills, but the end result is nice and neat cord - perfect for what I want.

Great product
Really easy to use and because the 'pins' at the top are shaped outward, the wool doesn't slip off if you put your work down and come back to it. I had purchased one with a handle for quicker makes, but ended up sending that back and bought this one. Best thing I did. With it being clear, it's nice to see your work progressing. I am a complete beginner at this knitting technique, but am hooked and so glad I decided to stick to a proper manual knitter rather than one with a handle. Really recommend, even for complete beginners like me

One Hoop was very loose
One hoop was very loose, and kept sliding out, making knitting impossible. I put it back with Superglue, and it works OK. I'm using it with Chunky Yarn, but I think it would be OK with Aran weight yarn too.

A great (yarn) tool! Quick results, fun for all ages.
What a great tool for getting children & adults crafting. The instructions are a bit ropey and as they’re underneath the label we’re promptly ripped when it was opened. There’s a great 2 minute clip on YouTube showing how to get started. Feed the end of the yarn through centre, that becomes your ‘tail’ for pulling the rows through.. I’ve used James C Brett neon yarn and plain kitchen string, about the thickness of a pound coin, but worth experimenting. A bit hard on the fingers until they’re calloused, my daughter used a bbq bamboo skewer instead of the pokey needle provided. So many people have fond memories of doing this low-tech activity as kids. We’re hooked.

Este tricotín va de maravilla para hacer su función, el cordón trenzado queda muy bien y es fácil coger el punto con la curvatura adecuada de las pestañas dobladas. Genial que sea transparente para ver como va quedando el cordón.

These are great! The ones with the bent wire “pegs” are *much* better than the type with nails, as they are bent outward slightly to keep the yarn loops from slipping off, and it’s much easier to scoop the yarn loops to knit over from the bent wire pegs than from the “nail” type knitting spools. Moreover, the plain clear acrylic makes them look more suitable as a tool an adult might use, instead of a little kid’s toy “knitting dolly.”

arrivied in record time for Christmas gift, not the Jan 9 arrival date stated, and 7 year old grandson is loving it, its the perfect size for that age, and defenitely perfect activity for that age. I really like the acrylic spool as he can see the rope developing as he is weaving. We might sew the rope in a circular way to create something else.
