I have mixed opinions about these, since I do love them but one string died after about 4 weeks hanging outside.The price is great for what you get (I spent $20 for the 2 x 10 ft strings of lights). It's wonderful to be able to freely hang decorative lighting without worrying about having an outlet nearby. They come on just after twilight and glow brightly for several hours, right up to about midnight/1pm at least. We first put them out in early May. You do want to be sure that you give the solar panels equal amounts of sunlight if you want to ensure they turn on and glow at the same brightness (otherwise you'll end up with one string being dimmer than the other). I like these so much that I'm here to place another order. They are just so pretty, and not tacky looking. They are solid plastic, and the LED light glows up into them. The string is like that which you'd see on Christmas tree lights, but the bulbs are very durable. I pinned mine up with little clear tacks.The reason I can't give 5 stars is that after about 3-4 weeks of the two strings hanging outside (they are exposed to the weather, which so far has just been periodic rains), the 2nd string completely died. I tried moving its solar panel to a sunnier spot but it did nothing. I fiddled around with the on/off/blinking setting and that didn't work either. So they went into the e-waste recycle today. If they were pricier I'd say the heck with it, but for $20 LEDs I'll get another set and hope at least one string works as well as the one I have that is still burning bright.

They are a manageable length. Bought four strings; two lasted that one season (four months), the third lasted a week into the second season, and the four string has been going strong so far during season three.

I really liked these lights, at first. Solar power worked great, light weight, unbreakable bulbs, low cost investment to spruce up the backyard. Color was a little blue, but it worked. However, after they were up in my backyard for a week, the squirrels went to work! They bit through the wires on several strands and that was the end of our beautiful lights in the backyard. :(. Very sad. Also, on one of our first sets as we were trying to pull it high enough to be above our heads, the wires snapped. The bulbs on these are sturdy, but the wiring is not. I recommend these only if you do not have much wildlife where you will put them (maybe an apartment balcony). I don't think our squirrels are particularly fierce as they have not bothered anything else in my yard. But these light hung from our treehouse to a tree in the yard were too easy prey. Even though the bulbs are very sturdy, once the wiring is severed the whole strand is worthless. Big Bummer.

I bought these as cute lighting alternative to cozy up my apartment balcony. The length was perfect for what I was looking for (came as 2 separate strands of 20 ft. lights) and added a nice feature to the balcony. Love that they're solar powered!Lights are more blue than traditional lights, but didn't really bother me. They're not super bright, but add a nice ambience to a small space.The only reason I didnt give 5 stars was because a few of the decorative bulbs fell off right after opening the package (light still works though). Not too upset about it, but wanted to be sure to point it out.

These lights are great, but they are a lot smaller than they seem in the product pictures. They roughly have the diameter of a quarter. Because they are small, they are pretty dim and will not provide much light for a space. They could not light an area on their own, but they add some ambience. The solar function works well and the light a automatically adjust to the amount of light they are picking up. Because there is a street light near my patio, I have to turn the solar panels down to make the lights turn on at night (a minor inconvenience).

I bought these in April, but after 2 months they died... only the first few lights would light up even after replacing the batteries. I contacted Vivii through amazon and they quickly sent me a replacement pair. So far the new pair have been working flawlessly and look great on a tree in my front yard. Hoping the new pair will last longer than the first - if they do, then this is truly a great product at an even better price, with great customer service. If the new set makes it through winter, I will update to 5 stars.

It should be 4.5/5 stars. Wife bought these. She is happy with them. We put them out around 4pm and they came on automatically at 7:30pm. We dont have direct sunlight in the afternoons so these are decently bright give the amount of charging time. The reason for the 4.5 is one bulb came without a globe on it. They are a good lengh but we wish there were more globes attached. The wire for the solar attachment is long and could be used to add more lights instead.Happy with it.

Not nearly as bright as I was hoping, but I guess there's only so much you can expect at this price point. With a mix of direct and indirect sunlight, the solar panels seem to do quite well... I had the misfortune of waking up ~4:00am the other day, and saw they were still shining when I looked out the back window. If you're looking for decorative lights, these are great; if you want something that will provide usable light for a deck/patio, I'd look elsewhere.
