Yes it is in millimeters and centimeters. The answers that say the bottom is inches are incorrect. The bottom is the diameter conversion of the reading on the top side, in cm/mm. So if you wrap it around a pipe, the top side reading would be circumference and bottom side would be diameter.

The W606PD has a A16 blade style which is markings on both sides, consecutive inches to 1/16ths, first 12" to 1/32nds on side 1, diameter inches to 1/100ths side 2, blank space ahead of zero. The W606PM has A17 blade style which is markings both sides, consecutive centimeters to millimeters on side 1, diameter to millimeters side 2, numbered in centimeters.
