Hemline Invisible Thread (Clear & Smoke) - Nylon, 200M

This tread is great, i used it to hem trousers that I had been unable to match tread for

I have to put out a positive review for this thread as it's brilliant for lots of tasks. The trick is to be patient in trying to find the end of the thread in the new spool. I had to use a magnifying glass to find how the end was tucked into the body of the thread - but once I did, and managed to winkle it out with the point of the needle, using it was a doddle. Really recommend it for all fabrics, especially wool (damn those pesky moths!).

Works well easy to use

I’ve used this to darn jumpers and it works much better than conventional darning wool to do an invisible mend. Despite being so fine it’s also much stronger than wool.

Difficult to sew with as it's obviously meant to be invisible - and it is not practical for hand sewing as it becomes very tangled and knotty. Used on sewing machine in the bobbin to sew applique - it's quite good for that purpose.

It is very curly when you take it off but heat it through your fingers and it’s fine.

I threaded a machine with the clear cotton as the instructions say which to use in which colour fabric. It held well but unfortunately you could see the stitches, not at all invisible, if I had matched the colour of cotton to the fabric it would have been less noticeable. 3* because it held but no more as it was noticeable

I like it, because I’m not a very good at sewing, but this was fantastic for the product I was making
