Received remembered it when I was a kid, hope I still like it

Classic horror film from 1987, fairy tale-like story in the old dark house, this was a film that I had seen in 1987 at the time, growing up, I particularly like Guy Rolfe as the mysterious toy maker, Gabriel Hardwicke and also the very hot Bunty Bailey from Hot Gossip ('Kenny Everett's Video Show' and on the BBC 'Television Show') as one of the two New Wave Punk girl's ,she, for me stood out above the other character's, like Toyah or Kim Wilde would, although Cleo Rococos was very good as well, back to the film, Mr Punch is marvellous when he come's to life, but creepiest, eeriest and best of all are those Victorian porcelain dolls, great idea that the dolls are actually people inside, this film speak's for itself in very memorable scene's on the screen, it had been a rare film for quite some time, great that it finally got an official UK DVD release, well worth the price, with the quality to boot, it's a true genre piece.

Great tongue in cheek horror flick with a morality message.A real pity they decided to cut the scene with Mr Punch sliding down the bannister rail shouting "that's the way to do it" unforgivable. WHY???

An enjoyable little horror film that has plenty of scares and gore to keep you interested, it's very dated now but, that shouldn't stop you from enjoying this movie for what it is, a cheesy low budgeted horror gem. The blu ray transfer for this film was very good. Nice detail to the picture and good colours the sound was also good. The picture was a little soft at times but I think for a low budget horror movie that dolls looks great on blu ray. All in all this is an enjoyable horror film with a very good blu ray transfer.

It was Awesome to see a young Bunty Bailey in this film, Normally I don't like films with Witches in but it was cool that She Punished bad parents & bad People it's a shame a sequel wWasn't made.

The dolls I've seen this before I thought I would like to perchase this movie as it is a good film about dolls coming to life and attacking the living killing anyone who steps in there way I wouldn't like to go to that house with the dolls but it is a good film I do like it

This always stood out in my mind ever since I first rented the VHS from the rental store in the late 80's where age certification meant nothing and a 12 year old could quite happily walk into the rental store and hire an 18 film!!!THe basic story is centered around an old couple who take in a few guests on one windy, wet night....only the guests are about to find out that they are in for the night of their lives!!!! not in a good way either!!!Creepy dolls, blood and decent acting...make this a great film.THe blu ray picture quality and audio is a big improvement on the previous dvd release.

Nachts erwachen sie zum Leben und attackieren alle, die ihren strengen Moralvorstellungen nicht genügen. Pech für die selbstsüchtigen Yuppies David und Rosemary: Während sie sich überlegen, wie sie Davids Kind aus früherer Ehe wieder loswerden, wetzen die Puppen schon ihre Messer. Und Bohrmaschinen. Und Sägen. Nur der naive Ralph und die kleine June haben eine Chance, die Nacht zu überleben – und das schreckliche Geheimnis der „Dolls“ zu lüften.........Fazit zum Film schöner Trash Film mit coolen Mordszenen die teils auch Blutig sind .......im ganzen ein Film mit herrlichen Puppen und teils bekannten Dialogen !! Sollte in keiner Sammlung fehlen !!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍

Today received my used copy via Amazon Marketplace seller. This is my first ever DVD copy of this movie, a movie I've seen a couple of times many years ago on TV -- with all the commercials and editing expected.For me it was a real treat to see this movie uncut for the first time. I won't go into details about the movie as I am sure others have already done so and probably far better than I could do.I very much enjoyed this movie released in 1987, which is kind of "new" for my preferences since I tend to lean toward horror movies from the 30s and 40s, which is probably because I grew up on them. That is the result of having an "electronic babysitter" as a child -- think the Jim Carrey movie CABLE GUY. Except I didn't go batty like the movie character portrayed by Jim Carrey. At least I hope not. But I did watch an awful lot of really, really old movies and learned to love them.Anyhow, after enjoying the good and bad of the secret lives of dolls in this movie titled DOLLS, I'm awfully glad I always took good care of my toys. Anyone enjoying a good, old timey scare would likely enjoy this movie as much as I have. It's way better uncut than the way I used to see it on TV. Hooray for DVD copies of old movies. I'm daily grateful to those good people that chose to preserve our old movies on DVD.Get a copy and you too will be glad you treated your toys well!By the way, the "star" of this movie is NOT Guy Pearce as shown in the description, but Guy Rolf. Just thought you might like to know so there's no confusion or disappointment.

Al no ver ningún comentario negativo, me decidí a comprar esta edición. "Dolls" es una película que siempre me ha gustado, y la nostalgia de poder verla también con el doblaje español con el que la recordaba, me ha jugado la mala pasada. Si, nuevamente un cutre BD grabable, sin ninguna diferencia de los del top manta, salvo porque está impreso y tiene carátula completa. Si podeis prescindir de la maldita nostalgia, y la quereis en BR, comprad la edición del Reino Unido. Si el inglés no es vuestro fuerte o simplemente la quereis en castellano, comprad el DVD, ya que al menos es prensado, y en este caso la calidad de imagen tampoco difiere tanto.
