La Riche Directions Alpine Green Semi-Permanent Hair Colour 88ml

I bought this for my wife, this is her review.Really, really pleased with this colour. I like to colour my hair a very deep black but I find they fade quite quickly and I was doing it every other month which was starting to damage my hair, so I got the ebony to try, when I opened it I was a little worried, I like the blue black type colours and this looked a sort of reddish dark brown colour, when on though (or on your skin or any other surface) it's more of a blue black. I didn't bleach or pre lighten my hair, it was already dyed black, I used two tubs to completely cover my bra strap length hair although I think for reapplications it will only need one, one and a half at most, my hair was washed and towel dried, and I left it on for about two hours. I used Vaseline all around my hairline and on my ears as I know this can really stain your skin, and I wore thick yellow rubber gloves and applied it with my hands rather than a tint brush as I was doing all over. I also had plenty of bleach on hand as this really stains your bath and sink. If you do get it on your skin get it off quickly and it doesn't stain then. The colour is amazing, I'm really pleased with it, I wanted a really Deep black like the pictures of really classy forties film stars, but without chemicals and this is it, my hair is soft and shiny after using too. I will say make sure you rinse it all out properly as I had to go back and do it again as I could feel it still in my hair as I was drying it. It really is worth the extra effort it looks and feels great and you don't have to bleach to get it right. I will admit my scalp is a little blue but that's a small price to pay for the colour I want without the damage, and it hasn't stained my pillow like other reviewers have mentioned, I think they haven't rinsed properly. I'm now thinking of mixing the ebony and midnight blue. Will update as to how long its lasts before needing reapplication.UPDATE: After four boxes of hair colour remover my hair was almost my natural dark brown, I have just applied one tub of midnight blue mixed with a little conditioner, I put it on dry hair and left it on for about two hours and I am sooooo pleased with the result. Its a very dark subtle blue, it almost looks black at a distance then you see the blue as you get nearer, under the light the blue is much more obvious but still subtle. Before deciding to try this I had also had a go at mixing a full pot of ebony with three quarter of midnight blue and got a gorgeous intense blue black. You can experiment with these colours and you don't need bleach.

Perfect colour everytime, this is a regular purchase for me alongside another colour. Reliable brand which is important as I have come across so many that discontinue or rarely have stock.

I’ve tried a selection of toners in the market and had previously settled on Wella. However with money being tight I decided I’d try this brand to save some pennies.Hair background info: I have bleached light blonde hair (my natural is medium brown), straight, thick, quite porous and length is just past my chest (I bought two pots and had half a pot left) My hair has also been huuuugely damaged in the past but fairly healthy now.This toner is FAB U LOUSEasy to apply (tho I’d recommend using a dye brush) smells quite nice. The result is pretty even and transforms hair into the perfect silver when left on for 1hr.It’s been over a week later with several washes in between and it’s lasted beautifully!! Also makes hair so lovely and smooth which I love .Honestly everything about this toner is a win for me. Will definitely be buying again

The dye overall is pretty great. It's been 2 months and my hair still is dark, however the dye is very much blue based so as it fades, you'll be left with blue hair, for some it's a plus, for some a nightmare to later get out of their hair.A very big warning i give to anyone thinking of buying this product is that you will stain EVERYTHING blue. And i mean EVERYTHING. For at least 4 showers, i would stain everything in my shower, including the bottom of the shower, any bottles laying around, everything. When your hair is wet, you could also stain the back of your t-shirt, like i have done plenty of times. The dye is easy to get out of clothing tho and one wash was all it took.The tub is great, for my shouler length hair i only used half of a tube.Overall, good dye, good colour, awful staining.

I want to be able to keep up with my hair colour during pregnancy without needing to bleach first and this product and colour achieved this, flawlessly! My roots are dark brown and the rest is much lighter from previous bleaching and colour fading from previous dye jobs. This covered everything evenly. You wouldn't even know my roots were darker than the rest!I cannot praise this enough, full coverage, no chemical smell and it lasts for about 2 weeks before a touch up is needed. I wash my hair every other day.Even when a touch up is needed, it still has its colour, its just somewhat faded.Doesn't stain my towels or pillowcases.I add in a bit of conditioner to the product to give my hair some tlc during the process and it doesn't affect the vibrancy of the colour.No other product I've tried has compared to this one, will be sticking to this one from now on.
