This is perfect for wanting to build your own frames. Easy to use and good quality. The bracket is solid and well constructed and the extras are great, and there are lots of them. Only thing missing is instructions, but it's easy enough to "guess"

I purchased one of these about 5 years ago and found - particularly - the manual corner staple punch to be invaluable. However, during one particularly exuberant framing session recently the magnetic end came out...along with the ball-bearing...which I lost! Needless to say I had to replace it and since I was running low of the rest of the framing supplies I just bought another kit...also got another corner vice into the bargain!It gets 4-stsars because of the design of the manual corner staple tool...The design remains the same as it was, so I can guarantee I will be losing that ball-bearing in another 5 years time!

This hasn't been used, as yet, but it seems perfect for us. As an art group, we'll need frames of so many different sizes so I got this. I will be using it soon.

Ideal for making the occasional picture frame,useful for checking corner angles.

Good for what it is, inexpensive V nailer of smaller frames: probably not recommended for large frames, unless you can effectively support the opposite corner to the one being pinned.

This product is essentially a clamp, a magnetic punch and a collection of fasteners. The clamp is excellent and the fasteners are as expected. The punch is, unfortunately less than expected as the magnetic head is loose and easily detached making it and the spring behind it easily lost if not treated with care. It does however do the job.

I bought this for a 12 year old as it's obviously for beginners. Here are the reasons why you shouldn't:1. The corner clamp has sharp plastic ridges that mark the wood whilst it's held in position. it's mostly plastic also.2. The angled pins are fiddly to use and often fall flat due to the supplied punch having a smooth impact head rather than a groove for the pin to slot intoHere's what you should buy instead:1. A set of four metal corner clamps with flat edges to avoid damaging the frame2. A peen hammer (basically a small hammer)3. A set of needle nose pliers to hold the angled pin in place while you gently tap with the hammerYou should be able to pick up those three items for not much more than this kit and they will work well.
