I heat my house with a wood fireplace insert, and the creosote buildup is the bane of my existence. I used to spend so much time and elbow grease every couple days scrubbing the black gunk from the insert window until I discovered this product.After just a couple of days, my fire burned much hotter, and the creosote buildup on the glass burned itself off. I continued using as directed for the rest of the season, and I never had buildup on my glass again! This is some sort of magical sorcery, and every fireplace owner needs it in their life.

This stuff really works in our home for our stove. We burn all through the winter and after you use this product within the day you can tell it dries up the creosote build up. It helps you be put at ease your keeping your stack not flammable. I am a regular purchaser of this item

i wasn't sure of it, but it does do what it says. i run a camera up my chimney regularly, and it has been cleaner. glass on my stove stays cleaner longer too. be sure to clean the creosote out as it drops in little pieces and mixes with the ash. seem like a good value, and good quality.

I used this product during the colder seasons this/last year (Fall 2023 - Spring 2024) in my wood-burning stove (Jotul F400) and I can tell you this works way better than those one-time use CSL logs. Sometimes I'll run the stove hot and not much creosote buildup, but sometimes I'll run it lean and it will make a lot on the glass, but using this powder in between burns really clears everything up. It was 100% the easiest year I've had with regard to glass cleaning, and therefore I know the chimney itself is cleaner too. Not many "potato chips" at the bottom of the chimney catch basin this year, it does the job very well and I like how you can use a little bit or a lot when needed, instead of the one-time burn logs. Approximately 4 cords of wood burned and very little creosote buildup during, going to buy again for next season it's on my wish-list already.

Had a little scare burning some sneakily bad wood and had some accelerated soot buildup. This, and making sure the fire was as hot as possible before pulling the pin on the stove ensured the chimney was perfectly clean come spring. I anticipated a little cleanup being necessary, but this magic dust is seriously effective. I don't usually write reviews, but I've reordered another bottle and will reorder a third this winter. Really makes a difference.

I use it in my old parlor heater and it seems to work as I haven't had any chimney fires.
