10 stars!!
Ok so, I do loom knitting and trying to take it off the yarn balls that are already wrapped is annoying bc it flops all over for me and my cat thinks thats an invitation to party it up. I went and got a yarn holder that spins around for me so it stays still but trying to plop a yarn ball right from the store on there was making it impossible to do. I got this and redid them and it works so perfectly it’s amazing. It rolls it in a way that it will never get tied up and wont fall off bc its to loose or something. I have wrapped all of my yarn using this and i love it. It can latch on to a table and you can spin without worrying it’s going to fall off. I recommend buying this for sure

Perfect for what I needed
Easy to use and much faster then winding a ball of yarn completely by hand. Can be a little loud if you like to wind fast

Love love love!!!
The media could not be loaded. I love it. It works wonderfully. Set up was quick and easy, pretty straightforward. It secured nicely to my coffee table. It’s definitely a good value. It takes about 5 minutes to wind a regular sized skein of yarn. I will say that it barely holds a skein of 380 yards if you don’t move the metal arm. I’m extremely happy with this purchase!

It’s just okay
It gets the job done at the end of the day but it’s definitely not as quick of a process as I thought it would be. The metal piece that is meant to help with tension falls down a lot. So much so that I’m tempted to hot glue it up. It also gets tangled in the spinner piece a lot. I’ve had to cut the yarn and tie it together because of this a handful of times but I’m usually able to get it untangled if I see it soon enough. I got this one because it was the cheapest one I could find and had okay reviews. In the future I might get one of higher value but for now I will just deal with it. It doesn’t take up much storage space. It just sits on the counter when not in use for me but if you didn’t like that, it’s pretty small so you could probably just put it in a drawer somewhere/

Easy to Use
It's only good for smaller amounts of yarn, but I love it so much more than my bigger winder. It's quieter, winds smoother, and is easy to set up and start a ball. I only wish it came in larger sizes.

Had to replace immediately
I read through multiple reviews before deciding to add my own.My complaints are similar to many others i read - I had overall issues with it and the arm that holds the strand of yarn was very loose and wobbly. The attachment to secure on table is very small so make sure to check that first! My BIGGEST complaints- the yarn would end up getting under the base and then wrapping around the gears, this happened a few times that i caught quickly and had to fight to get it out, the final time it happened i thought i got it all out, but it wasnt winding the cake properly after that. I took it apart and all to try fixing it and could not get it fixed. I was also only using 2-3 oz skeins of yarn and i believe this is *supposed* to be for 4 oz cakes. I ended up throwing it away two days after buying it and replacing it with a different yarn winder i found on amazon for $23 and am having a much better time with this one!Pros to this item - good price on a budget, not terrible if you use it very slowly and CAREFULLY.

Comes in handy as a good time saver!
Once you get a good tension on the yarn as you spin, it holds together and does not tangle. Good bang for your buck.- Helps me knit without having to stop just to unravel more yarn, just to have it tangle or in my case fur getting on my yarn or a cat thinking it’s part of their toy!- It’s not as noisy as one might think, almost a white noise. Very easy to use, almost relaxing just to use to.- the speed is up to you. Only thing I’d suggest is putting a bit on tension on the yarn as you are spinning, helps keep the ball together longer.
