These things are a great value for the price. I programmed them both within minutes using free chirp software and was on the air shortly afterwards. Clearly not a high-end model, but they work very well for the price paid.

I anxiously awaited the arrival of these radios because I am so happy with my MD UV 380. Radio arrived late but that's okay radio feels real good in your hand. If you're used to tyt then it is a very familiar feel. Problem I had was the tyt cable that I programmed my 380 with would not communicate with the UV 88. So just on a whim I grabbed my bow thing radio cable plugged it in to the tyt radio and guess what didn't need any more drivers for my computer. I do love these radios the scramble feature is so nice gives you a little bit of security when you're trying to keep your Communications private overall this is an excellent ham radio or gmrf depending on how it's programmed. I highly recommend this product and will be ordering more of these in the future.

Really easy to use. Buy the kenwood adapter to program and you’ll be good to go. Great battery life and work well. I recommend a 15-18 inch antenna that’s foldable for better signal. Quality radio. Great seller

The pair of radios arrived quickly and were well packaged. I was able to program the radios with the factory software with no problems at all. Audio is pretty good. All working perfectly.

If you looking for clear audio and a decent price radio this is definitely worth buying clear audio and good quality build doesn't feel cheap or likes it's going to break I'm very impressed

no longer MARS Modifiable allowed, you can do the 1 & 7 key while powering on and it will transmit however there is no audio transmittedso these are now worthless for army or cap modded radiosgood cheap radio strictly for ham use only

Have not used these yet and a real world application but they seem to be solid… works great with Chirp.

Both of the UV88 radios function, however, the second radio will not work with a programming cable, the IC in the radio is probably not soldered correctly. This is huge for our organization because we program our fleet of radios and we cannot program 1 of the 2 that we ordered. Had to configure over 30 channels and settings manually instead of conveniently flashing the radio via Chirp.The radios look and feel like Motorola or black box quality. However, the lack of programming capability out of the box on one of the radios is disappointing.
