LOVE THIS!
HUGE reading area, and its LIGHTED! unfold the legs and it stands on its own, turn on the light and place your reading material underneath and just like that you can read the small print! I keep mine in the office and use it almost weekly. Game changer for small print.

Works great with books and portable
This is the best I’ve found so far. I’m losing my eyesight and it helps me read books, bills and many other things. I love it. Also portable. My next purchase is the mouse that enlarges text on your computer. I live on fixed income but I’m saving. I have no job or SSDI/SSI yet so I must save. I wish it would go on sale or it had a coupon.Anyways item I bought is great, easy to assemble.Gina

Easy to use on large reading material
It is hands-free and bright enough. The magnification factor is small, so those with very poor eyesight will not find this useful. The clarity is very good considering the lens is plastic. Although the legs are fairly delicate, ans rough handling will break them, the price is pretty low.

Trouble shoot your brightness here! Or the review
The weirdest part is the light control. For some reason, the “max” or “min” light intensity isn’t capped in the control setting. For example: if you’re at max light, and you push the “+” button 3 times, the light intensity won’t increase (obviously). If you want to dim, you’ll need to press “-“ 3 times for it to go back to where it was, and then press it once more to actually dim. (If you hold one of them for a minute, you’ll need to hold the opposite button for a minute before the light will actually changes brightness.). So if you’re having problems with your brightness not working, just hold the “+” or “-“ button down until it changes. The lens is nice, and big, the light works well. The head is heavy so a thicker swan neck would have been better. I don’t think it’s a 10x, it’s more of a 2.5x. The object will be in good focus when it’s around 5-6 inches from the lens. The alligator clips are pretty strong, so I’ve had to put some kind of cushion inside if I was working with <1mm wires for soldering. To secure the clips, you need to manually screw the fasteners, but the knob is small, so I had to use a plier to hold that side in place to screw the other side.

Almost afraid to pick it up for fear that it will break
It would be very easy to break the legs when trying to put them down. Also I can't see that the magnification is any where near 4 times. The bookmark magnifier works better than the main one.

So far, it's ok.
So far, it's working okay. I only question how long it will endure since the controller get's rather hot after a few minutes of use. Also, not sure who determined it has so many different levels of light. I doubt it has 72 or even 36. It does switch from warm to cool light and has various levels. Hardware seems sturdy and well made, just not sure about the switch/light part.

Works, kind of ... Let me explain
Okay, I want to love this thing, but it's just okay. Does the light work? Yes. Does it magnify? The problem is that it's too heavy for the clamp, and simply drops to the table. IF they had a better base that can support the weight of the ring, it would get 5 stars, but sadly it's like balancing a brick on a piece of silly string ... it doesn't hold. So, 3 stars for core functionality, 2 stars for the fact that you have to rig it up to keep it in place. If this frustrates you ... don't give it to your wife for her arts & crafts (cricut). She'll want to throw it out of the window. I speak from first hand experience. lol

Magnifying Glass
I am enjoying this product very much. Perfect strength for use with diamond painting. The arm is a little stiff, but that's better than being too loose and not holding a position. I like the choice of lighting, although I prefer the one setting for my needs. Great buy!
