Translated, that means that a column of water that's 1-inch square and 2.31 feet tall will weigh 1 pound, or one-foot column of water that's 1-inch square weighs .433 pounds. These two numbers, .433 and 2.31, are the conversion numbers used to convert from one unit to the other. According to the documentation, the max pump pressure on this pump is 65 PSI. So, using the formula we have maxFt/2.31=65PSI. Solving for x we get maxFt = 65*2.31, and finally maxFt = 150ft. This assumes a 1 inch pipe (Which this unit has) but does not take into account frictional resistance/loss, which depends on the pipe material and construction. Of course, this is just the (theoretical) vertical max lift with no resistance and no flow - just lift. The lower the height, the faster the flow.

Q: What is the max pressure PSI ?

My user manual says the control valve shut off switch is set for 40 psi to shut off and 20 psi to start. I have adjusted the setting for my own configuration to 50 and 30 psi, respectively. I have seen it pump to 55 psi before the shut off engaged. I hope that helps.
