Prime-Line E 2543 2-1/2 In. Classic Bronze Plated Rosettes (2 Pack)

In the bathroom I built on the 1st floor for my disabled wife, I built and installed a vanity cabinet. I purchased these escutcheons because they allow installation after the plumbing piping is installed. The two-piece construction with Phillips Head screws makes this simple to install. The shiny bright brass plating gives these units a nice appearance even though no one will see them. But if you have exposed copper water lines and your holes in the wall are not perfect, these are a good way to seal around the pipes. The price was reasonable and availability was the key factor. This is a good product. I like it and I think you will also.

The diameter of this rosette was larger than the 100 year-old original it was replacing, which made it possible to patch the wood underneath the old rosette which had 100 years of re-drilled and pulled out holes. The holes on this rosette fell outside those old hole locations and enabled a relatively quick fix that is solid and looks beautiful.

nice and sturdy rosette & matches the antique lockset. I wish they were just a smidge smaller to better match the originals (I could have reused the holes). Overall tho, good product

Purchased these along with a lockset and door knobs. Needed a period specific solution and this rosette looked just fine and authentic. Only needed one rosette because of the surface mounted lock on the other side of the door. They come in a two pack so now I have an extra one to store with all my other leftovers. Do not regret having to buy two because there will probably be another door sometime off in the future. Came with screws finished to match the rosette.

Was flipping an older house and came across some items that were hard to find. Though challenging, I was focused on keeping it architecturally accurate. These fit perfectly on the doors that had exterior mounted locks as found in older Mill Style homes. The buyers loved the look of the doors paired with the refinished hardwoods. Great find and great price. I have some in inventory for future use even if the house is being updated to current designs. It's a nice change.

Looks great, but the screws are too long for old school door mechanisms. Newer latches are small, but old mechanisms, like those found in my 1927 house, take up a large part of the hollowed out door cavity around the door knob. Long screws like those provided hit the metal casing of the door latching/lock mechanism and can't go in further. ...That's not a problem if you have shorter screws sitting around.

These are basic, but fantastic. The good: - Manufacturing: These are well made and consistent. I bought 6 total and they are all absolutely identical, so quality control is spot on - Packaging: These are two packs, but they are separated by a small piece of paper to ensure the don't arrive scratched. Really nice touch. Other: - Restrictive install: These require an old-style mortise hole on your doors. If your doors have modern knob-holes, you'll need to get creative. I sanded and glued 1/2" x 1/2" square dowels into my doors to give these something to screw into. The result are perfectly fitted knobs with antique flare Bottom line: I love these. With a bit of work, they can be used with any style of door, but expect that it won't be straightforward unless your doors were originally cut for antique knobs. I will absolutely buy these again in the future if I find myself needing them.
