This seems well made and works well. However the planer has distinct overheating smell even when set to less than one millimetre cut. Would not be suprised at the motor failing. Would agree with other reviews regarding the useless bag for chippings. two or three passes and it full. NOTE I sent a mail to DOMU UK regarding this and they replied within two days offering a refund or replacement. Cannot fault the service from this company.

I bought this to remove bulk waste quickly before finish planing by hand.The sole of the plane is nowhere near flat and it is noisy. However it has double sided blades and has a spare set. It is powerful and cheap. Overall this is a functional tool as long as you do not expect to achieve high levels of finesse.

I put the dust bag on as per picture. After five minutes use the planer stopped dead with the dust bag wrapped round the barrel and its spindle. It was quite a shock and i am glad my fingers were firmly on the handle. I am buying a more expensive model with a brand I know to be reliable. This is my fourth planer over many years with no incidents.

Got this to take about 9 mms off my daughter's door after carpeting her room. I'm very impressed! The machine is easy to handle, and it only took ten minutes, including emptying the shavings bag once. This is a heavy oak interior door as well.I cannot fault this machine.

Easy to use and does what it should. The dust bag is of terrible quality tho and wasn't even stiched properly, hence lots of mess. That alone could have given it a 1 star! Fills very quickly too. Instructions poor for fitting the guide, I had to view the picture again on amazon to see how it went on.

Looks a good product but isn't. Had to turn depth adjustment to the max before it even started to work & even then the cutting was intermittent. The dust bag is useless, it's poor quality & blew off when I turned the planer on . Have kept the spare blades & binned the planer. Have since spent a bit more money & bought a Bosch instead.

Not happy at all. Heavy, cumbersome and failed to do what I wanted. Returned. Sorry.
