great toy but a bit expensive, since i bought 2 of them. my 2 and 3 year old loved them..the look robust and the balls are very light, so if they fire them at themselves in close range it doesn't hurt. made my boys happy, definatly recommend. the truck talks, changed in a a robot and shoots balls, definatly get my kids to spend some time playing with it! made a great gift!

It arrived on my nephews actual birthday, so wrapped very quickly and took over...no testing first!!! IT WAS BRILLIANT!!! he loved the fact the moutgmobed, loved the voices and lights and screams with laughter at the b all shooting!! Cracking buy, I'm the best aunty ever!!!!

This toy has just arrived and I am sure my little grandson is going to love it. I have purchased a set of batteries as the demonstration ones are usually poor quality. My only complaint is the price I paid. I found it cheaper £51.99 elsewhere with free delivery, but was too late to cancel my order.

When I bought this back in December I originally wrote a good review as it was what my 4 year old had asked for for Christmas and I thought it looked good. Since Christmas he has played ith it twice. The novelty value of a talking fire engine soon wore off as although it also shoots plastic balls it got boring very quickly. Would say that it is worth at the most £30.00 and am very dissappointed with it.

At first he was surprised that it talked and the bumper moves like a talking fire truck and was put off at first , but now he loves it and has loads of fun but prefers it turned off for pushing it around on the floor as the front wheels don't open used that way.

Was broken had to get one somewhere else

Purchased for 4 year old sons Christmas 2 years ago. Occupied him for about 2 hours and then he was bored with it. All it does is say funny things and fire balls from the cannon (and sort of go from vertical to horizontal). It's too big to really be part of any other imaginative play with his other cars/trucks etc. It was what he wanted and he was happy on Christmas morning - but possibly the biggest waste of money we've ever spent on a present. If your child wants this try to convince then to get something else.

The engine met all its expectations and I am sure my grandson will have years of use It is a very sturdy well constructed truck..

I wish I had a video of my two-year-old nephew as he was trying to wait patiently while his Grandpa tried to get the fire engine out of the packaging. It was very well packaged; too well for a two-year-old haha. This birthday present was the first present opened and the last present opened for quite a while. My brother, his Dad, tried to get his attention so that he would start opening other presents. The little guy wasn't letting Smokey out of his sight. He was rocking back and forth on his feet; he was pointing and saying, well let's say he was trying to say [tr]uck. I got him the present. I was so thrilled. And it does and says all these great things. It says 95 phrases. You can put the front of the truck on top of the back of the truck and it sings; and in place of water it shoots little soft balls. All the kids were playing with it. I was told that two of the kids asked whether I could be invited to their parties, because I get the kids such good gifts. That just made my whole day; whole week. It upsets me that I don't get to see my niece and nephew all that often. But hopefully they'll remember me until next time thanks to Smokey being the hit of the party! Thank you. And also, because I had saved points from using my Amazon credit card, I only ended up spending half of what it cost. Whoo-hoo!

I bought this for my great nephew for Christmas and this was an instant hit. The front grill moves when the fire engine talks, it says over 95 sayings, the lights flash and the siren goes off when the fire engine in enroute to a fire. This toy will provide hours of fun for any child 3 years and over. I also bought a childs fireman hat, so my great nephew was in full glory. I would highly recommend this toy, it is safe, the balls that shoot out of the water hose are a soft foam, so there's no damage to anything. Really a great toy.
