Very good. I was truly surprised. We have very heavy well water with so much iron that I have to use a product called iron out to keep it from clogging things up. These water filters work so well that you can't taste any of the iron in the water. Add to that the fact that they're half the price of Berkey water filters, these are a winner! What I haven't done is run the water tests on it, but I will do that. I'll even do the red dye test and report back!

High quality filters, makes water taste good.

Works with a Berkey and less cost

Each of the four filters passed the red dye test. It’s a test where red food color dye is added to the top chamber to test if the water going into the bottom chamber is crystal clear. If no red color passes through then the filters are working properly. I tried to get good photos of the process. Lighting wasn’t optimal so just trust me when I say the water passed the test. Water tastes good after priming each filter using the original Berkey priming nozzle, and then running a full 2.5 gallon cycle through the filters. Would be a bonus if a replacement priming nozzle was included in this kit but I’m happy with what I got.

The one star is the product arrived. These filters are not filters. After fill and drain several times the water PPM tested much higher than the source. The meter and test strips both showed things add to the water not filtered out. I will not purchase these filters again. What a Shame .

The water tastes better so I think it's working? How are we all to know though? Without any testing or proof of testing by a third party. The one thing that has me skeptical is the flow rate. If you had a Berkey filter and prime it, it takes a bit of a while for the filter to sweat. This took no time at all. This makes me pretty sure it is not the same quality and likely won't last as long as a Berkey, but it does the job well enough until I get an actual Berkey filter!

I got these because Berkey went out of business and I could no longer order directly from them. These fit their containers perfectly and wok just the same as the originals do.

These fit in our Berkey well and seem to work fine at first. But after a few weeks, they become very slow and have to be replaced. I don't plan to reorder them for this reason.
