Grandson won't eat his supper without it!
Mini Grey's wacky stories hit the spot with the children I know. And this one is no exception. My two year old grandson had this one off by heart within a week and 'reads' it at every meal. It sits on the table alongside the sort of household objects children recognise and which grey then transforms into her extraordinary characters. In the case of this tale she takes that eveyday story - toys accidentally left out at night - and sends them off on wonderful space adventures. I think adults are sometimes a little bemused by the appeal she has - but children love her. Great illustrations. Good language. A strong narrative and satisfactory ending. Another hit.

Very nice story
The story has a meaning as well as learning for children.

Brilliant
This is brilliant for my 7 year old who hates reading. He found it interesting and wanted to know what happens next and with small sentences on each page he was happy to read it instead of looking at it and thinking 'theres too much so won't bother'

Fantastic
I bought this to read to my year 1 class and without a doubt it was a great success . Mini Grey writes wonderful stories with amazing characters. It would be a fantastic book to use for a teaching sequence as are her other books Traction Man and Egg Drop which we use in school. Love her books, they have wonderful characters and plots and inspiring illustrations. I love the endings of her books too as they leave lots of room for further talk and thinking. Thoroughly recommended.

Mini Great
All of Mini Grey's books are, without exception, brilliant. This is much like her others, full of warmth, humour, incredibly inventive, and packed with the kinds of of small details that make re-reading such a pleasure.

A great book for our class space topic with Y2 children
A great book for our class space topic with Y2 children. The class loved the different characters and wrote great stories based on them. Great illustrations and a great theme about looking after our important things.
